We recently brought to your attention a secret Obama administration plan to admit 1,200 Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian refugees that Australia had turned away.
These refugees were vetted by Australia and determined to be “inadmissible.” That’s Australia’s determination, not ours.
Right after Trump won, the White House inked a deal with Australia to relocate their “inadmissible” refugees to the United States. It makes no difference to Obama that many of these refugees were determine to pose a threat to Australian society… He’s going to let them in anyway.
Well, we bombarded Congress with over a quarter million faxes these past few days demanding that they intervene and stop Obama from doing this. This is all thanks to you.
The groundswell of grassroots opposition was so great that Congress took notice. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), the Chairmen of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, wrote the Secretary of Homeland Security directly and demanded answers.
“This situation is concerning for many reasons,” they wrote, “your departments negotiated an international agreement regarding refugees without consulting or notifying Congress.”
When they pressed for more information, they were told the deal is “classified.”
Here is what they were able to find out. The “refugees” that were determined to be too dangerous for admittance to Australia include people from Iran, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Sudan.
That is literally a who’s-who list of countries that produce terrorists. I put Somalia in bold because the Ohio State terrorist, who the FBI just announced was likely driven to action by al-Qaeda and ISIS propaganda, was allowed into the US as a Somali refugee in 2014. That attack was literally made possible by Obama's policies.
As Donald Trump said earlier this week: this refugee terrorist “should not have been in our country.”
Australia vetted these people. They determined the same: that they should not be allowed into the country. Now, Obama is swooping in and admitting them into the US anyway!
Oh, and we just learned something else. The early report that the deal involved 1,233 “refugees” was incorrect. The Australian Prime Minister has come out and said the deal will include the United States relocating 2,465 of their inadmissible refugees. Obama doubled the program overnight.
Screeners from the US Customs and Immigration Services are already packing their bags to travel to Australia and process these refugees before Trump takes office.
We are literally watching the President admitting potential terrorists and radicals into this country out of spite. No, that is not hyperbole. When a US ally turns away 2,400 refugees, many for security concerns, and labels them “inadmissible,” it is perfectly reasonable to say that they include radicals and terrorists. And the fact that Obama is rushing this through before inauguration proves it is out of spite.
Next week, Congress is slated to vote on a number of different spending bills. They include bills to fund pretty much every government department and agency through the end of Obama’s term.
Because appropriations bills require just 51 votes in the Senate, this is our best and last chance to stop this asinine refugee program from moving forward.
You got Congress’ attention on the Obama-Australia refugee deal.
You got them to start asking questions and you pressured the Obama administration into illegally classifying the agreement to keep a lid on it.
Now it is time for you to force Congress to kill this program once and for all!
