The fight to repeal Obamacare has reached your doorstep.
Everything we have fought for now comes down to this. Mitch McConnell has postponed the Obamacare repeal vote until John McCain recovers from surgery. That gives us just a few days.
But the Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) aren't waiting. They are forging ahead and demanding a huge concession: They want Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to be completely funded.
The surrender has begun.
Republican Senators Lisa Murkowski (AK) and Susan Collins (ME) have promised to vote 'no' if the Obamacare repeal bill defunds Planned Parenthood. If it was only those two planning to vote no, we would still be fine. However, Conservatives like Rand Paul are also hinting they will be voting no because the repeal bill doesn't go far enough.
That leaves McConnell with a choice: Does he try to win back Conservatives or refund Planned Parenthood to win back the moderates? He has decided to go after the moderates.
If this sabotage succeeds, then Planned Parenthood would stay in business, continue its abortion practices, and it would all be thanks to your taxes.
We are talking about more than three hundred thousand unborn lives. That is how many abortions Planned Parenthood performs in a year.
The provision in the House and Senate bill is simple: If Planned Parenthood wants access to federal taxdol lars, they need to drop the abortion side of their business. If not, they'll go out of business. Either way, we eliminate the country's largest abortion provider.
This is worth fighting for...
Today, I had a doctor's appointment with my wife today at the OB/GYN. We got to see our unborn child on the ultrasound machine for the second time. I loved my child from the minute I learned that he or she was alive.
But in far too many doctors' offices around the country, these ultrasounds are used for an entirely different purpose. They are performed so doctors can decide the best way to kill the baby. And perhaps the worst part is that we are complicit in this. They use federal funding for these procedures.
This is what the GOP establishment is now fighting for. They want to save Planned Parenthood's funding and help them kill another quarter million babies next year.
It's time to shut it down. It's time to shut the whole thing down!
Sincerely,
Max McGuire
