We all remember Judge Andrew Hanen. He is the US District Judge who originally placed an injunction on the President’s amnesty executive order last year.
That injunction has made its way all the way to the Supreme Court (more on that later) but since, Judge Hanen has continued to hear from each side of the issue. The case is moving forward.
Yesterday, the Judge did something absolutely amazing. He ordered all of the DOJ Attorneys working on the amnesty case to take a legal ethics course.
Why? He caught the Obama administration lying on multiple occasions in his courtroom.
They lied about violating his injunction. They claimed to be obeying the injunction when in reality, the administration was moving forward with the amnesty program anyway. They were caught lying to a federal judge.
Now, the judge just ordered them all to take legal ethics courses before returning to his courtroom since they seemed to have missed those classes in Law School.
Judge Hanen even quoted Miracle on 34th Street to illustrate that the DOJ should know better than to lie:
The Judge: 'Tommy, you know the difference between telling the truth and telling a lie, don’t you?'
Tommy Mara Jr.: 'Gosh, everybody knows you shouldn’t tell a lie, especially in court.'
As awesome as this is, it is pretty much the extent of what this judge can do. With the case before the Supreme Court, the votes simply aren’t there for a victory. Once again, this is another case where Antonin Scalia’s absence will likely lead to an Obama victory.
Yes, Judge Hanen's order is funny, but we’re out of time. We have exhausted all legal options. If we don’t get Congress to act right now, the injunction will be lifted and Obama will have the power to extend amnesty and work permits to all illegal aliens!
In the time between Obama’s amnesty announcement and when the Judge caught the administration violating the injunction, Obama was able to give amnesty and work permits to over 100,000 illegal aliens.
That was what they accomplished in secret. Imagine what they'll accomplish once the restrictions are lifted.
All of the documents are already drawn up. The minute this injunction gets lifted, millions of amnesty documents will be dropped in the mail. There will not be enough time for Congress to stop them.
When we get to that point, it will be too late. What's even worse is the fact that we are just days away.
What Obama is doing is completely unconstitutional. The law states that people in the country illegally cannot gain employment here. There’s no room for interpretation. Obama has absolutely no legal or constitutional right to legalize anyone.
If we lose this, then it will give the President the power to legalize anyone and as many people as he wants.
If he gets away with this, it will mean the end of the Republic.
Obama fancies himself a king. It’s up to you to force Congress to bring him back to reality!
