Oh my goodness…
Barack Obama is doing it. He is actually doing it. Despite all the threats of impeachment, he is going through with it.
Today is "Earth Day" and the UN Climate Change treaty is being put to a vote at the UN. Instead of putting it through Congress as the Constitution requires, Obama is just going to sign onto it at the United Nations.
Not only does Obama plan to sign onto this treaty without Congressional approval but he intends to fully implement it before leaving office.
Obama has already said he has no intention of putting this through Congress. He plans to sign the treaty and then implement its provisions through regulatory changes at the EPA.
We are watching tyranny unfold before our eyes.
I don’t care what your belief is on climate change or global warming. That’s not what this is about. We disagree with the President’s environmental policy, but that isn’t the issue here.
Barack Obama is dragging the United States down a path of ends-justify-the-means. He believes that some things are so important, they are worth violating the constitution to implement them.
The Constitution is clear. It takes a 2/3 ratification vote in the Senate to join any international treaty. Congress has not given the President permission to participate in the UN’s climate treaty. Anything Obama does to support such a treaty is wholly unconstitutional.
Barack Obama has already given the United Nations half a BILLION dollars and has promised to increase that number to $3 Billion before he leaves office.
You see, this is how Obama operates. When the United Nations brought forward the UN Arms Trade Treaty, the President knew he’d never get Congress on board with international gun control.
He signed the treaty anyway and then pledged to do everything in his power to support the treaty’s implementation without Congressional support. The President’s subordinates went to Mexico to attend the first annual Arms Treaty conference and actually helped plan and finance its implementation.
We already know the playbook. Obama gets around the constitution by financing the UN’s treaties instead of ratifying them. This is tyrannical!
What is even worse is that with Justice Scalia’s passing, the Supreme Court is now on Obama’s side. They recently ruled in favor of Obama’s EPA’s new air regulations, which the Court had previously ruled against when Scalia was on the bench.
So we have an Executive Branch that has promised to violate the constitution and implement a treaty without ratification and a Judicial Branch that is more than willing to provide political cover. That leaves Congress as the only branch of government that can stop this horrible treaty from moving forward!
This is happening right now. Obama administration officials are gathering at the United Nations to sign this horrible treaty TODAY!
The money is already leaving the Treasury, Attorney General Loretta Lynch has promised to start prosecuting climate deniers, and now the President is signing a treaty in complete violation of the Constitution.
This is the last chance to stop this. This is the last chance to force Congress to act. Don’t let Obama get away with this!
Tell Congress to STOP Obama by any means necessary!
