Fellow Conservative,

I have never been more optimistic about the country's future than I am right now. In just 25 days, Barack Obama's Presidency will be but a memory.

But our work doesn't end on January 20th. No, our work will only be just beginning.

When God sent his only son to earth, he did not arrive in a chariot. He arrived as an infant child.

He was not born to nobility. He was born to a carpenter and his wife.

And infant Jesus was not swaddled in silk. He was cradled in a manger on a bed of hay.

Jesus began his journey on earth as a babe. He went through all of life's hardships and tribulations as a man and ultimately, he died a very mortal death.

As I think about Christmas and all the work we have before us, I am particularly struck by Jesus Christ's humanity. That little infant child asleep in a manger would ultimately go on to save humanity.

This speaks to the potential that each and every one of us has inside. Humanity was not saved by an all-powerful being. We were saved by God's son who chose to live among us, as one of us. The baby who wasn't even allowed in the inn would go on to be the King of Kings.

The challenges before us are, without a doubt, daunting. We have eight years of executive orders and legislative actions to undo. But as the Christmas story teaches us, one man can change the world, one voice can bring truth to the many, and one sacrifice can save.

So, allow me to be the first to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. If you are with friends and family, cherish your time together. If there is a family member you are not on speaking terms with, pick up the phone and make that call.

Enjoy today. Celebrate today. Because tomorrow, we start the fight to take this country back!

A Very Merry Christmas to You and Yours,
