Yesterday, a Middle Eastern “tourist” walked into the Louvre museum in Paris, pulled out a machete, and started swinging at innocent bystanders.
He had been in France for just one week. After seven days in the country, he launched an attack. There is no doubt about his intentions. He screamed “Allahu Akbar” before French soldiers shot him.
This is exactly why President Trump implemented his refugee and immigration freeze.
Every Judge who had intervened so far to block Trump deliberately limited their injunction’s scope. One judge in Boston let his injunction against the executive order expire because he determined that the ACLU wasn’t going to be able to win at trial.
The Judge was surprised. When he finally got around to reading he executive order, he found that there was no mention of a “Muslim ban” at all. Once he saw that the plaintiffs didn’t have a leg to stand on, he allowed Trump’s executive order to go back into effect.
Hours later, a Federal judge in Seattle issued a ruling ending Donald Trump’s refugee moratorium… for the entire country.
This is absolute madness. And now Democrats are digging in their heels to delay Trump’s Supreme Court nominee’s confirmation to give them a better chance at getting the executive order struck down.
We cannot rely on the Judiciary to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.
It is going to take an act of Congress to put a stop to this madness…
The Constitution says that Congress has the authority to pass immigration laws. One of those laws was the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, which gave the President the power to block any alien or any class of aliens from entering the country.
Section 1182(f) of the US Code is abundantly clear. It reads that the President has the power to turn away any alien or any class of aliens if he determines that their entry would be detrimental to the United States.
Donald Trump can turn Middle Eastern refugees away one by one or he can ban them according to their citizenship (which is what he did). It is both constitutional and legal.
Congress passed the law that permits it and the President has executed that authority. Period.
Not only does this latest executive order open up the floodgates nationwide, but it also forces the Trump administration to issue new visas to applicants. It has eliminated the Executive Branch’s authority to turn people away.
If this judge's ruling stands, terrorists will slip into the country. It is only a matter of time before we see something like what happened in Paris yesterday.
The Trump Administration is going to fight this tooth and nail to try to protect this country from these threats. But they’ll be going up against activist judges intent on reinstating Obama’s policies.
It is up to Congress to put an end to all of this and it is up to you to demand it!
