I didn't get much sleep last night. Yesterday evening, news broke that the Jury had reached a decision in the Kate Steinle murder case. Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was charged with both 1st Degree Murder and Involuntary Manslaughter. It made sense to charge him with both because he literally admitted to investigators that he shot Kate Steinle on a San Francisco pier back in 2015.
Prosecutors reasoned that it would be up to the jury to decide whether Garcia Zarate killed Steinle intentionally or not. However, late yesterday evening, the Jury returned not guilty verdicts on both counts. Even though the man admitted to shooting Steinle, the Jury decided that he did it neither intentionally nor unintentionally...
Instead, this killer was convicted of one count of felon in possession of a firearm, you know, since he had been deported five times and convicted of seven previous felonies.
The most ridiculous part is because Zarate was found not guilty, San Francisco doesn't have to hand him over to the Feds. That's right, their sanctuary city policy is still in effect. And because Congress still has not passed Kate's Law, this killer will now only face a maximum of years behind bars.
President Trump is furious.
Kate's Law is pretty simple. If an illegal alien felon is caught re-entering the United States, they would face a mandatory minimum of five years behind bars. When the illegal alien is released and deported, if they're caught in the United States again, their sentence jumps to 10 years. If they do it again, it jumps to 20 years.
But this legislation is only half the battle. The other half is going after the sanctuary cities that provide cover for these illegal alien criminals. Right now, there is legislation before Congress that would defund any city or state that refuses to cooperate with immigration investigations. If this bill passes, then San Francisco would lose millions in law enforcement grants. Why should we give them law enforcement grants if they won't help enforce immigration law?
After this shock verdict, these two bills are once again being fast-tracked through Congress. Up until yesterday, RINOs in Congress were actually preparing an amnesty compromise to get Democrats to sign off on funding the budget. Yes, Ryan and McConnell were actually planning to make Obama's amnesty permanent in order to stop the Democrat filibuster of the next spending bills.
Late last night, we received word from one of our sources on Capitol Hill that these turncoat Republicans are now terrified to move forward with their surrender plan. After this liberal jury decided to acquit Kate Steinle's killer, they are afraid they will face the wrath of the voters if they try to expand Obama's amnesty.
They are absolutely right, but it is up to you to prove them right!
The Steinle family deserves better than this. The American people deserve better than this.
Jose Ines Garcia Zarate admitted to killing her and yet, a handful of liberal jurors found him not-guilty anyway.
There will be immigration bills added to the end of the year spending bill. Liberals and RINOs want to include measures to make Obama's amnesty permanent.
It is absolutely imperative that you fight back and FORCE Congress to pass Kate's Law and defund sanctuary cities for good!
