The GOP leadership finally released the text of its massive 1.3 Trillion omnibus spending bill.
It was Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi behind closed doors hammering out the details of this massive spending bill. Honestly, the bill looks like there weren't even any Republicans in that room.
No border wall funding. No action on sanctuary cities. Planned Parenthood keeps all its funding. New gun control legislation and no pro-gun amendments like concealed carry reciprocity. Ryan and McConnell kicked the Freedom Caucus to the curb and decided to team up with the Left to get the votes.
Freedom Caucus Member Jim Jordan is saying this is the worst bill he has ever seen in Congress and is now begging the President to veto it.
Is this what 'taking our country back' looks like? No.
The fact of the matter is that while we may have taken our country back from the Democrats, we still need to take it back from the establishment RINOs.
The solution is clear. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell met with Democrats behind closed doors and produced a massive spending bill that includes NO Conservative priorities. They must be removed from power!
This is not what winning should look like.
Since the election, there have been, what, a half dozen spending bills passed? Each time, Congress kicked the can down the road. When asked about issues like the border wall or gun rights or defunding Planned Parenthood, Ryan and McConnell would each say that the "timing isn't right."
So, they kicked the can further down the road and promised that one day, they would do what they promised.
That day should have been today. But instead, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are ramming through a 2,200+ page bill that fulfills ZERO Conservative promises.
For goodness sake, Republicans in Congress put a bill to defund Planned Parenthood onto Obama's desk just two years ago. Obama vetoed it, but they proved the votes are there.
Now, they are too scared to do it again.
We simply don't have time for cowards in leadership.
Please, tell Congress right now that if they don't remove Ryan and McConnell, you will remove THEM!
What we just saw was the culmination of a plan that the GOP leadership put into play years ago. They never expected Trump to win. They actually campaigned against Donald Trump in the final weeks before the 2016 election.
Not only were they ok with Hillary Clinton winning, but they were accepting that they would lose control of Congress.
When Donald Trump won AND they kept both chambers of Congress, the GOP establishment didn't know what to do. All of a sudden, they were put in a position where they would actually have to do what they promised.
We saw how that went with repealing Obamacare. John McCain voted no and killed the bill. Later, he was heard joking with Democrats, saying, "let's see Donald make America great again" now. The hatred for Trump runs so deep that McCain would vote to save Obamacare.
On every issue, we are seeing the GOP establishment hiding from their own agenda. They are once again hoping the Democrats win in November. Then, they wouldn't have to worry about actually doing what they promised. They would have an excuse for inaction again.
No. Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell cannot be allowed to crawl back under their rocks. They must be removed NOW!
