Mitt Romney has officially bucked his party and joined Democrats in demanding an unrestricted bailout for cities and states.

As you know, the Democrats are trying to give 1 Trilliond ollars in unrestricted bailout funding to cities and states. We know that the majority of this would go to liberal cities and states.

But Romney says it is worth it. "Blue states aren't the only ones that were screwed," Romney proclaimed.

Just so we are clear: Romney wants to give leftist states like New York, Illinois, New Jersey, and California unrestricted, no-strings-attached bailout funds so that Utah can get pennies, comparatively...

No-strings-attached unrestricted funding means exactly what you think. Once the funds hit cities' and states' accounts, they can spend it on literally anything, including their radical leftist spending projects!

Over the weekend, California Governor Gavin Newsom's office announced that in order to trim the budget, they would be closing the veterans home in Barstow, California. Approximately 200 military veterans would be forced to leave their home and move to another city.

Gov. Newsom claims that the funding simply isn't there to care for the state's veterans. Closing the home will save the state 400,000 in next year's budget... The State of California is kicking 200 veterans out of their homes to save just 400,000 next year.

It was just three weeks ago that Gavin Newsom approved an extra 75 million in state funding to help illegal aliens deal with the coronavirus. He literally approved a bailout package for illegals living in the state.

California is kicking veterans out of their homes because the governor claims the state can't afford it, while simultaneously sending bailout checks to illegal alien households.

This is why sending out unrestricted funding is so dangerous. Governor Newsom's new revised budget already assumes that Congress will give California 14 billion in bailout funds. Newsom's decision to kick veterans out of their homes and bailout illegal alien families was made under the assumption that California will get unrestricted bailout funding from Congress.

This is what an "unrestricted" city and state bailout would look like. Instead of funding actually getting to American families and businesses that need help, Leftist politicians would simply get a blank slate to expand their radical programs.

Take New York for example. New York's budget still sets aside millions to help illegal aliens fight deportation efforts. They are also setting aside millions to fight the lawsuits that have been piling up, challenging the unconstitutional lockdowns that Cuomo has implemented. That includes a lawsuit against the state's forced closure of gun stores, essentially revoking the 2nd Amendment for the past two months...

If NY gets unrestricted funding, those are the kinds of things that it will prop up. Even worse, states could also simply use the funds to re-fill their pension funds, basically using the bailout as a reward for the unions.

The fact of the matter is that states like California, New Jersey, New York, and Illinois were edging towards bankruptcy long before the coronavirus reached our shores. Now, they want to use this crisis as an excuse to get a bailout for all of the bad decisions they've made over the years.

That is why people like Pelosi and Romney are pushing for it to be an unrestricted bailout...

Pelosi knows that she won't get everything she wants in the final stimulus package that ultimately becomes law. That is why she wants the state and local bailout funding to be unrestricted.

If she can't get a federal bailout for illegal aliens, she will give the funds to states to disburse it to illegals themselves. If she can't get a crackdown on the 2nd Amendment, send the funding to states to defend their own gun store shutdowns. The list goes on and on...

As I said, Romney has already teamed up with the Left to get their unrestricted 1 Trillion state/local bailout passed. Democrats only need to secure a couple more turncoat Republican votes.

They have already started picking off GOPers to join their cause.

But there is still time to stop them. There is still time to stop this before it's too late!
