At the last minute before the massive 1.3 trillion Omnibus spending bill was unveiled, the GOP establishment decided to stab American gun owners in the back.
They added the massive Fix NICS bill in as an amendment. The FBI will now get to work adding millions of Americans into the background check system as prohibited persons, even if they haven't been convicted of crimes or adjudicated mentally defective.
What did gun owners get in return? Nothing. Nothing at all.
When Fix NICS passed the House last year, it was attached to the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. That was the bargain: the background check system would get upgraded and in return, law abiding Americans who passed that background check system would be allowed to exercise their right to carry nationwide.
Conservatives hated the bargain, but it was necessary to get the establishment Republicans on board.
Well, last week, Ryan and McConnell stripped the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act and only added the background check bill to the omnibus. Then, they turned to Democrats to get it passed.
Ryan is celebrating. He thinks he has killed Concealed Carry Reciprocity.
He is wrong. He has to be wrong.
This is the biggest pro-gun bill in American History. It has already passed one branch of Congress. The GOP establishment is blocking it from reaching Trump's desk.
It is up to you to force them to back down. It is up to YOU to put the fear back into these cowards in Congress.
Ryan and McConnell stabbed American gun owners in the back. They left the biggest pro-gun bill ever on the cutting room floor last week. They must be removed from power.
But it is up to you to put that same fear into the rest of Congress as well!
President Trump has promised to sign the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act when it reaches his desk. A handful of Republicans and Democrats are stopping it from reaching his desk.
It is literally now or never! Don't let the GOP abandon the 2nd Amendment!
