Fellow Conservative,
With the Government shutdown in full swing, it has been amazing to watch the Republicans squirm. The Democrats own this shutdown. They are the ones who refused to fund the government. Yet, the GOP is so spineless, they can't help but fear they will be blamed for it.
Last night, Mitch McConnell took to the podium and announced a "compromise": if Democrats agree to end the government shutdown, then McConnell would guarantee an amnesty vote no matter what.
Chuck Schumer could see McConnell sweating. He turned down the offer, knowing full well that McConnell would offer even more. That is what cowards do.
On the other side of the Capitol, Paul Ryan actually criticized President Trump for going after Democrats. Trump released a commercial calling Democrats complicit in every single illegal alien crime committed. Ryan declared that Trump's ad was "not productive." He didn't like that Trump was taking the fight to the Democrats.
These people are so spineless, they have no idea how to win. They have been so battered by the Leftist media that at the first sign of conflict, they curl up and offer to give up everything.
President Trump is demanding that the GOP man-up and fight back, but there are so many cowards, this thing is spiraling out of control.
The Senate is voting TODAY to lift the government shutdown. At the center of that vote is a promise from McConnell, guaranteeing a later vote on amnesty.
Democrats aren't even guaranteed to vote to end the shutdown. They want more concessions.
It took less than 48 hours for Mitch McConnell to cave. On Friday night, he was echoing the White House's demands. By Sunday night, he had folded like a cheap suit.
Whether the government shutdown ends today or not, McConnell and the GOP have already caved. Congressional Republicans are eagerly trying to create a coalition with Democrats to restore Obama's amnesty program and they put Lindsey Graham in charge of negotiating the immigration "deal." Yesterday, Graham started openly criticizing White House staffers for having the audacity to honor the President's campaign promises.
The White House's response?
"As long as Sen. Graham chooses to support legislation that sides with people in this country illegally and unlawfully, instead of our own American citizens, we're going nowhere. He's been an outlier for years."
The White House isn't backing down, even as Republicans in Congress try to give it all away.
We can't let up now!
Don't stop fighting!
