We just received excellent news: A major establishment open border surrender plan was just defeated!
Nearly two months ago, we blew the whistle on a massive betrayal in Congress.
Rep. Kevin Yoder (R-KS) -- the Chairman of the House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee -- snuck a dastardly amendment into the Homeland Security spending bill that would have opened up the Southern border to practically everyone on earth.
The amendment -- authored by Rep. David Price (D-NC) -- would have changed the rules for the country's asylum process and opened up the floodgates for illegal aliens to enter the US "legally." Yoder's plan was to add "domestic violence" and "gang violence" as legitimate reasons for asylum.
For decades, the United States' asylum system has provided safety to foreigners fleeing oppression and persecution. The laws are simple: in order for someone to win asylum, they need to prove they are being targeted for their religion, politics, or their ethnicity. It is designed to help people fleeing things like communism, dictatorial governments, radical Islam, or genocide.
The Price-Yoder plan would have bastardized this process to let anyone into the country who claimed to be the victim of spousal abuse. Any migrant would have been allowed to show up at the border, say their significant other beat them, and they'd be allowed into the United States. They wouldn't have even needed to show proof. Anyone could claim to be a victim and be welcomed right in...
As horrible as this proposal was, it was even worse how it was passed. Rep. Yoder used a "voice vote" to move it through the subcommittee. This is where Congressmen simply say "yea" or "nay" and whichever side is louder, wins. There is no vote recording in a voice vote, which lets Republicans vote for liberal proposals without having to go on record.
We raised hell over this provision. By a rough count, you and other Conservatives in our community sent well over two million FaxBlasts demanding that Congress kill the Price-Yoder asylum amendment.
It worked. The Committee just released the full and final text of HR 6776, the Department Homeland Security Appropriations Act and the open border amendment is nowhere to be found. Your activism worked.
The establishment did everything they could to sneak this through without you finding out. They were hoping to put it onto President Trump's desk before you could fight back. They failed!

But the fight is not over. The Establishment abandoned this plan, but they are not giving up on their amnesty dreams! Now, they're holding the border wall funding hostage!
The GOP establishment never wanted Trump to win. They never wanted to have to pass an America First immigration agenda. Their plan was always to cave and accept the Left's amnesty demands.
Yesterday, I warned you that the GOP was blocking border wall funding from reaching Trump's desk before the 2018 midterms. Now we know why.
Paul Ryan's plan is simple: trade 5.5 billion in border wall funding for the largest illegal alien amnesty in American history. If Trump wants to build the wall, then the GOP is demanding that he first make Obama's illegal alien amnesty programs permanent.
In 2016, Paul Ryan was actually suing the Obama administration to end the amnesty. Today, he wants to make it his legacy.
But the plan is actually even more sinister. While the legislation would trade amnesty for border wall funding, future Congresses would be able to pull the wall funding whenever they want and all of Obama's illegals would be allowed to stay anyway.
We've heard this story before. Back in 1986, President Ronald Reagan struck a deal with Democrats. He would grant amnesty to 3.2 million illegal aliens and Democrats in Congress would approve funding for a border fence. No surprise, the Left reneged on their deal and pulled the funding. But all of the illegals got to stay...
It happened again in 2006. President George W. Bush agreed to loosen border enforcement and stop cracking down on illegal immigration. In return, Democrats would approve funding for a border fence. Again, once the executive amnesty went into effect, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid killed the fence funding.
The Establishment's goal is simple: make amnesty the law of the land and leave the border unsecure to allow more illegal aliens into the country. It worked in 1986 and 2006. They're hoping that Conservatives will fall into the same trap yet again.
They're hoping that YOU aren't paying attention!
Ryan's plan actually goes further, allowing illegal aliens to get on a pathway to citizenship before a single mile of border wall has even been built. It's despicable.
Even if the funding is kept in place, this is still just a fraction of the funding necessary to build the wall. Ryan is offering, at best, 1/4 of a border wall in exchange for full amnesty.
We saw this week what can happen when we band together and fight against the establishment's amnesty plans. They tried to sneak in an amendment to let practically anyone on earth enter the US simply by claiming to be a victim of gang or domestic violence. We won that fight, but only because we literally buried Congressional offices in FaxBlasts.
But just like the mythical Greek Hydra, when we beat one amnesty plan, two more pop up to take its place.
