He is risen!

Whether you are a practicing Christian or not, allow me to wish a Happy and Joyous Easter to you and yours.

Two millennia ago, Jesus of Nazareth died for our sins so that humanity could be redeemed. The Son of God came into this world as a man, lived as a man, and then died as a man, for men. 

Words often fail to truly capture that sacrifice; being crucified and accepting his fate so that mankind would have a shot at redemption.

Similarly, it is still possible to save our nation. We are not beyond redeeming or saving. It will not take a sacrifice anywhere near what Jesus did for us, but we won’t succeed in taking this country back without working together.

So today, celebrate with family and friends. Teach the young ones the true meaning of Easter. Celebrate the redemption that Jesus Christ gave to you.

But tomorrow, we go back to work, taking the fight to Washington.
