Democrats yesterday held the first of what will likely have to be many votes in the House of Representatives to make Washington DC the 51st state.
What they did yesterday was illegal, unconstitutional, and contrary to everything the Founders wanted. In other words, it was just another typical Thursday for the Democrat Party...
All jokes aside, they are racing forward with their plan to make Washington DC the 51st state. They stole the 2020 election. Now, as their majority in Congress shrinks and shrinks, they want to make DC a state so they can steal Congress again!

Right now, Washington DC has one non-voting Member of Congress. Eleanor Holmes Norton, perhaps most known as the District's worst driver, serves in Congress, but doesn't get to vote on anything. She has just as much power as the Representatives from American Samoa or Puerto Rico...
But if DC becomes a state, she would suddenly become a fully-voting Member of the House of Representatives. That might not seem that important, but Nancy Pelosi only has a 2-vote majority in the House right now. Currently, if 3 Democrats vote against one of Pelosi's bills, it will fail. Giving DC statehood and adding an extra Democrat vote would mean the difference between radical Leftist bills passing or falling short...
Then there is the Senate side. Every state automatically gets two Senators, regardless of how small it is. Giving DC two Senators would add two more guaranteed Democrat seats to the United States Senate. How do I know they are guaranteed? Joe Biden won the District of Columbia with over 92% of the vote...
Right now, the Senate is tied 50-50. While Kamala Harris can break a tie, if even one Democrat breaks ranks and votes against a bill or nomination, it will fail. But if you give the Democrats two more Leftist Senators, all of a sudden it becomes a lot easier to pass radical bills into law...
That is all this is about. This is nothing but a power grab. Just like the Democrats are trying to seize power by rewriting the country's election laws and flooding the voter rolls with new illegal alien voters, this is the other way they plan to steal future elections.

If the Democrats get away with this, they are already talking about making Puerto Rico the 52nd State. They know that they have no shot of holding onto power in the next election, unless they stack Congress with new Representatives and Senators.
We can kill this right now. We can put a stop to this Leftist scheme before it gains any more steam.
