Since 1976, it has been illegal for Federal funding to be used on elective abortion procedures. Across the board, there was a consensus that American taxpayers should not be on the hook for abortion procedures. This provision is known as the Hyde Amendment and has been renewed every single year.

Nancy Pelosi is trying to repeal it. She told Republicans yesterday that the Democrats' coronavirus bill was 'take it or leave it.' If the GOP didn't pass her bill as-is, she would let the economy keep tanking.

Now we know at least one of the provisions that Pelosi was trying to sneak through would have opened the floodgates for federal abortion funding...

In the midst of everything going on, Pelosi is still playing politics. It is despicable.

After we learned about what Pelosi was doing, we got even more disturbing news. The GOP is negotiating with her on this. The Democrats' bill, as-written, is still on the table.

Democrats promised Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers that they would restore the funding that Trump cut. But this goes so much further than that. They are literally trying to legalize taxpayer funded abortion procedures!

Don't let Pelosi sneak this abortion funding through! Please, tell Congress right now that anyone who votes to repeal the Hyde Amendment or sneak abortion funding into the coronavirus spending bill will be dragged out of office!

The Hyde Amendment has always been bipartisan. Whatever Democrats and Republicans thought about Roe v. Wade, they agreed that the issue was far too polarizing for American taxpayers to have to foot the bill...

That is why every year since 1976, the Hyde Amendment has been renewed with bipartisan support. Democrats have never even dared try to remove it.

But with all eyes on the coronavirus, Pelosi thinks she can get away with forcing YOU to pay for abortion procedures around the country.

Pelosi tried to slip the Hyde Amendment repeal into last week's 8 billion coronavirus bill, but other Democrats told her to wait for a better opportunity. In order for an amendment to get added to a piece of legislation, the House Parliamentarian has to rule that it is "germane" (related) to the issue at hand.

Last week's bill dealt with the government's response to the virus, so the Hyde Amendment repeal probably would have been flagged by the parliamentarian. But right now, Congress is debating a spending package for private businesses, including hospitals and health clinics. Technically, that means the Democrats can attach their abortion funding amendment and get it to stick. And the GOP is negotiating over this...

While the Hyde Amendment blocked abortionists from using Federal funds to pay for abortion procedures, these clinics used accounting tricks to let them access Federal funds for other aspects of their businesses. Republicans have spent years promising pull the plug on this funding, but never did it.

President Trump made good on his promise. He pulled the plug on nearly-all Federal funding to abortion clinics. Not only that, but the newly added Conservative judges to the 9th Circuit Court upheld the regulation and allowed it to go into effect.

We finally have these abortion butcher shops on the ropes. Planned Parenthood has literally started closing clinics and slashing hours. Every day, lives are being saved.

But if Pelosi's scheme goes through, Planned Parenthood would get it all back, and some!

The Democratic mantra is and always has been "never let a good crisis go to waste."

We now have confirmation that Pelosi is trying to use the coronavirus as an excuse to not only restore Planned Parenthood's funding that Trump cut, but to repeal the Hyde Amendment to let Planned Parenthood bill the taxpayers directly for abortion procedures as well.

These people are sick.

But here is the thing: you were never supposed to know about this. Pelosi and the Democrats wanted to keep their scheme a secret until it was too late for you to do anything about it.

But now you know and that means you can fight back and STOP it!
