We knew this day was coming. The Left wasn't just going to celebrate blocking full border wall funding. They want to go for broke.
Nancy Pelosi just announced that the House of Representatives will vote on a "clean" Dream Act to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in this country.
Her bill is "clean" because it includes no enhancements for border security or immigration enforcement. It is solely an amnesty bill and is far worse than anything Barack Obama could have dreamed up...
Pelosi sent out a letter to Members of Congress yesterday announcing the bill. Whereas Obama's DACA program granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens brought to the US as children, Pelosi's plan would extend amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, as well as their extended family members.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the bill (H.R. 6) would extend "Temporary Protected Status to people from Sudan, Nicaragua, Haiti, El Salvador, and a host of other countries. These people fled war and natural disasters decades ago. We let them in because their countries were suffering from emergencies. Decades later, their countries have recovered and are doing fine. But these people refuse to go home. Pelosi's bill would give them a pathway to citizenship!
Republicans had offered to pass the Dream Act as part of a comprehensive bill; a trade in order to get full border wall funding and important changes to our immigration system, like a merit system and an end to the visalottery.
But after talking with GOPers in the House and Senate, Pelosi now has the votes to pass this amnesty giveaway on its own!
For years, you've heard Democrats and Republicans alike talking about "comprehensive" immigration reform. In a nutshell, this was a plan to give amnesty to illegals in exchange for important changes to our immigration system. It was going to be a bitter pill for Conservatives to swallow, but at least Conservative legislators were pushing to include provisions to end sanctuary cities and pass Kate's Law.
That's all gone now. None of the Conservative immigration provisions are being included in Pelosi's bill. There's nothing "comprehensive" about it. It is nothing but an amnesty and citizenship giveaway!
And she has Republicans onboard. There are a dozen Moderate Republican Senators on record saying they would support the amnesty bill. Mitch McConnell previously said that he would make sure it gets a vote in the Senate. Even President Trump said he would sign it, though in fairness, he said that while also demanding Congress pass conservative immigration reforms too.
The GOP is going to help Pelosi ram this amnesty bill down your throat and they're trying to do it before you have a chance to mobilize to stop it!
That's the real kicker. The only way the GOP can push this monstrosity through is if they do it so quickly, you don't even notice.
Remember when the GOP tried to push through the Gang of Eight's immigration package back in 2013/4? Conservatives across the country rallied to kill the bill. You put the fear of the electorate back into the GOP and they backed down.
Pelosi is only pushing this bill because she believes it has the GOP votes to pass. And the GOP is only supporting the amnesty and citizenship giveaway because they think YOU won't hold them accountable.
It is up to you to prove them wrong!
Do not let these GOP cowards surrender and give amnesty and citizenship to millions of illegal aliens!
