Right now, there is a caravan of illegal migrants marching through Mexico. Government officials call it "caravan madre," the Mother of All Caravans. When the caravan entered Mexico, it was estimated to contain ten thousand people.
Now, as it begins to enter Mexico City, the estimate has jumped to almost 20,000 migrants. To put it in perspective, the largest caravan last year was pegged at 7,000 by the time it reached the US-Mexico border.
This is an invasion.
President Trump is done waiting for Congress. He has ordered the Pentagon to start deploying armed soldiers to the border. Up until now, the Military has only allowed unarmed military personnel at the border, including engineers, doctors, and lawyers.
But in addition to the news about this massive caravan, two things happened that are forcing Trump's hands. (1) Armed Mexican soldiers went onto US soil and detained US soldiers who were patrolling the border and (2) heavily armed cartel human traffickers were videotaped smuggling illegal aliens into the US.
I will say it again: this is an invasion.
President Trump is treating it like one. But not only is the President fighting against the illegal alien invaders, Pentagon bureaucrats, and activist judges, now Congress is trying to block the President from deploying combat troops to the border!
The border wall construction is underway. The Army Corps of Engineers is hard at work putting up new sections of border walls.
National Guard troops are also working with Border Patrol agents to patrol the border. Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger was actually just deployed to the border with the Air National Guard to fly border surveillance missions. He returned from his deployment and confirmed that there is absolutely a border crisis.
But the soldiers are still having their hands tied. Two National Guardsmen were captured by Mexican soldiers just this week and they were outgunned. The cartel traffickers are literally better armed than the soldiers we have on the border.
Trump is ordering more troops to the border and wants the rules of engagement lifted to allow them to defend the country and themselves against these invaders.
Congress, however, is ordering Trump to stand down. Mitch McConnell has threatened Trump that he will shutdown any order closing the border or deploying combat troops to stop this invasion. A massive 20,000 person caravan is days away from the border and Congress is demanding that Pres. Trump let them all in!
The border is being overrun. Congress has deliberately left our immigration loopholes open and thousands of illegal aliens are taking advantage of it.
But this new caravan is worse than anything we have ever seen. Heavily armed Mexican soldiers and drug cartels are literally violating our sovereignty.
By all definitions, we are being invaded.
President Trump is trying to defend this country, but Republicans and Democrats are teaming up to block him. Mitch McConnell promised the President that there would be hell to pay if he sent any more troops to the border or tried to close certain sections.
Both parties want illegal immigration. The Left wants to import more future Democrat voters and the GOP establishment wants to give their corporate donors more cheap labor.
You CANNOT let them get away with this!
