This is not a drill.

Over the past weeks, everyone expected the Senate's tax reform vote to be incredibly tight. It ended up passing with one vote to spare, however the media isn't focusing enough on why the bill passed.

Arizona Senator Jeff Flake is a rabid never-trumper who was forced to announce his retirement earlier this year when polls showed he would lose his re-election by double digits. All of the Whip counts said that Flake was going to be a 'no' on the tax bill. At the last minute, he switched to a 'yes' after striking a deal with Mitch McConnell and the GOP.

He demanded a "firm commitment" from McConnell and the leadership to pass a "growth-oriented legislative solution to enact fair and permanent protections for [Obama amnesty] recipients."

In order to secure the votes for tax cuts, McConnell sold us out.

He is going to attach a massive amnesty bill to the end-of-the-year spending legislation and give Flake and the Democrats everything they want!

Here's the good news: this isn't over yet. Senator Flake is pushing for amnesty for illegal aliens because he knows he won't have to face the voters ever again. The rest of his colleagues, however, aren't so lucky.

It is up to each and every one of us to get loud and force Congress to back down.

News leaked out in November that Paul Ryan was going to try a similar strategy. Within 24 hours, our community alone bombarded Congress with close to a half million FaxBlasts demanding that they stand down. Other organizations increased the pressure as well and within days, Ryan was forced to back down.

But this time, it is different. This isn't a deal struck with the Democrats. This is a deal that the GOP leadership struck with one of the most anti-Trump RINOs there are. Around the same time late last week, GOP Senator John Cornyn also announced that he was preparing to release his own legislation to make Obama's illegal alien amnesty executive orders permanent.

This is happening and it is up to you to stop it.

Flake may not be facing re-election, but practically every other Congressman and Senator is!
