Breaking News: GOP leadership is blocking Pres. Trump from cutting foreign aid to the countries that are protecting the illegal alien caravan!
Yesterday, President Trump issued a major threat to Honduras. If they didn't stop the illegal immigrant caravan from making its way to the United States, he would cut off all US aid to Honduras.
That threat prompted officials to arrest three people in charge of the caravan. However, the three thousand other migrants continued traveling north.
So, President Trump doubled down on the warning and included practically all of Central America.
"We have today informed the countries of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador that if they allow their citizens, or others, to journey through their borders and up to the United States, with the intention of entering our country illegally, all payments made to them will stop," the President announced.
He isn't just cutting aid to Honduras. Trump is now going after all of Central America. This made the Republican leadership in Congress furious. They immediately phoned the President and told him to back down and stop threatening to cut international aid.
You see, that is the GOP's plan. Instead of funding a border wall, they want to triple international aid funding to the countries that send us illegal aliens!
Congressman Will Hurd (R-TX) is a moderate who represents a blue district that includes hundreds of miles of the southern border. He has been running a tough campaign, but pulled ahead by double digits in recent weeks over a simple promise: the wall will not be built.
No, Rep. Hurd is refusing to vote for a border wall. He went on a "fact finding" mission to Central America this summer and came back with a new idea instead: we should give these foreign countries the funding that would go to the wall.
"The 32 billion that would go into a border wall, I'm just even more convinced that it would be better spent with some of these existing [aid] programs," Hurd declared after returning to the states.
Instead of protecting the American people, this man wants to give the wall funding to foreign countries to help their people instead... and the leadership is listening to him. He is one of the only vulnerable Republicans dominating their races. The GOP thinks his plan is the only path forward.
We saw this in action last month when Paul Ryan teamed up with the Democrats to pass a spending bill that restored international aid funding that Trump cut. This is even worse.
There is an illegal alien caravan barreling towards the US border and the gop is trying to pull the rug out from under President Trump. He threatened to cut off international aid to any country that lets these illegal migrants. Congress just told him, 'no.'
It looked like the caravan had been disbanded late yesterday. But as of this morning, thousands of migrants are back on the road, marching towards the United States.
They are openly waving Honduras flags (shown above) and proudly singing their national anthem. They're supposed to be fleeing their country because of "violence" and political corruption, but their march looks more akin to a World Cup rally than a refugee crisis. When a similar caravan arrived at the US border last April, they scaled the fence and also waved Honduras flags.
This isn't a humanitarian crisis. It is an invasion.
Now, the Establishment is trying to block President Trump from pulling the funding and securing the border. They must be stopped!
Trump is only putting his America First promises into action. Here, we have a caravan of thousands marching towards the border and carrying the flags of the countries they're supposedly fleeing.
Not only is Ryan and the GOP leadership refusing to secure the border from these invaders, but they are forcing the President to make the foreign aid disbursements to these countries on schedule. The GOP has already adopted the Hurd plan. They want to ditch the border wall plan and donate the funds to Central and South America instead. It's absolutely shameful.
President Trump is trying to rally the base. He needs you to get loud and make this a midterm issue. He needs you to force Congress to cut the funding and secure the border immediately!
This is the issue of our age. What happens in the next few days will decide the future of this country.
Will you allow this invading caravan to reach the border and game the system to get into the country?
Or will you stand and fight for our sovereignty right now?
We caught Congress this past summer trying to loosen our asylum laws to make it easier for these kinds of caravans to get into the country. The provision was hidden deep within a spending bill. No one was supposed to find it.
You fought back and forced them to back down. It was all you. Now, the Republican who pushed the amendment through - Kevin Yoder - is losing his re-election race.
You have the power to stop this. You have the power to hold Congress' feet to the fire and force them to take action.
But you need to get loud and demand it right now!
Fight back before there's nothing left to fight for!
