Yesterday, there was a tragic shooting at a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida. One of the competitors - a 24-year-old named David Katz - lost his match and decided to shoot up the event. He killed 3 people and injured 11.
The gun control advocates immediately pounded on this and called for more gun control. They conveniently forgot to mention that the shooter was a member of the Left’s “resistance” against Trump.
Instead, they are trying to blame Conservatives. A 24-year-old leftist shot up an event in a gun free zone, but they want to put our rights on the chopping block...
For weeks, the Left has been working with the GOP leadership on a new gun control bill that would radically restrict your right to keep and bear arms.
They struck a deal with Democrats in a bill that would allow law enforcement and judges to suspend anyone’s 2nd Amendment rights without even needing to charge them with a crime. After yesterday’s mass shooting, they believe that now is the time to strike.
The GOP thinks that gun control is their ticket to winning re-election. There are dozens of establishment Republicans facing tough re-election fights and they are pressuring Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to hold a vote on a gun control bill. After weeks of negotiations with the left, Ryan and McConnell reached a deal to "compromise" on the 2nd Amendment.
They are preparing to hold a vote on a “red flag” bill. Right now, there are a couple of different proposals that have been introduced. The leadership is trying to combine these bills into one major gun control package.
Under this plan, ANYONE would be allowed to turn a gun owner into police. It doesn’t matter if the person is innocent. Simply reporting to police that a gun owner is dangerous would be enough to suspend his or her Constitutional rights.
I live in Colorado and my state legislature tried to pass a law like this earlier this year. Their plan was to give judges the power to suspend innocent Americans’ gun rights for up to 12 hours, without the person even being charged or arrested. It was a gross attempt to make every gun owner in my state guilty until proven innocent. This state-level bill was defeated by one vote, but now the GOP in Washington want to impose this plan on all Americans!
The Left’s new argument is that because a crazed Leftist shot up a video game tournament, every gun owner should become guilty until proven innocent.
And the worst part is that the GOP agrees!
They think they can get away with this.
They are wrong. It is up to you to prove they’re wrong!
Tell Congress to kill this horrible gun control bill before it’s too late!
Congress is about to fully go back into session. RINOs are scrambling to whip up the votes to pass this new gun control proposal.
They don’t care how many innocent Americans get disarmed by this plan. They think they need to do something on guns to protect their careers.
They are willing to put your Constitutional rights into the chopping block just to hold onto power for a couple more years.
Add up everything that Barack Obama tried to do and it doesn’t come close to the gun control plot being pushed by the GOP right now.
It doesn’t get more dangerous than giving the government the ability to suspend innocent people’s constitutional rights....
If we do nothing, this will pass and the RIGHT to keep and bear arms will be lost forever.
