Democrats take over control of the House of Representatives today. Their first order of business will be to force a vote on a "clean" government spending bill to re-open a quarter of the Federal government.
That includes the State Department. So when they say it will be a "clean" funding bill, that means it will fully fund the agencies at previous levels and ignore the requested budget cuts or increases.
That means that the State Departments' foreign aid and United Nations aid budgets would be restored to pre-Trump levels!
President Trump has cut billions in funding to the United Nations. He has pulled out of anti-American and anti-Israeli UN programs such as unesco and the Human Rights Council. He has cut funding to the radical United Nations Climate and Gun Control treaties.
And with one vote, Democrats are going to try to restore it all.
Yesterday, Trump was asked what he thought about the fact that Europeans didn't approve of his Presidency. He had the perfect answer.
"I shouldn't be popular in Europe. I don't care about Europe. I'm not elected by Europeans. I'm elected by Americans."
The same goes to American tax revenues. Why should a government established for and by the American people use YOUR hard earned taxdol.lars to fund the United Nations' radical programs?
Last month, the United Nations started a major lobbying push to get Congress to restore much of the funding that Trump has cut. The UN tried to get other countries to fill the gap left by Trump's cuts, but no one was willing to do it. Instead, they are just trying to force Congress to pull the rug out from under the President and restore us to Obama funding levels.
And the worst part is that Democrats are going to go through with it!
For the past two years, President Trump has worked tirelessly to cut as much of the United Nations' funding as he could. He ended up cutting billions, but the GOP Congress fought him tooth and nail to try to limit the damage to the UN.
But with Democrats now controlling half of Congress, they are promising to restore everything that Trump cut!
Every time that the United Nations has gotten its hands on US funding, they've used it to try to erode American sovereignty. Thanks to President Trump, the United Nations has never been this powerless.
Whatever you do, don't let Democrats give it all back!
