Take a long hard look at the picture above. This isn't a photoshop. This woman walked to the edge of the border fence, where the 30-foot-tall bollard fence turns into a 6-foot-tall sheet metal barrier and just climbed over.
The one thing that drives illegal immigration more than anything else is talk of amnesty. The minute that Congress starts talking about giving amnesty away to illegal aliens, the illegals just start pouring into the country.
Is it any surprise, then, that Border Patrol agents are seeing another surge? Rumors have spread through Central and South America that anyone who shows up to the US-Mexico border with a child in-tow gets passage into the country.
It isn't really a "rumor" because it is completely true. The 7-year-old migrant girl who died in ICE's custody? Her father admitted that he brought her to this country because he knew crossing with a child would get him released. When doctors suggested that she seek further medical attention, he refused. She was just his ticket into the country...
Now, the GOP is announcing to the world that once again, amnesty is on the table. After a meeting in the Oval Office yesterday, Republicans emerged pushing for a "deal" to give well over a million illegal aliens amnesty in exchange for partial border wall funding...
This is always how it goes. The establishment promises border security in exchange for amnesty. They approve the amnesty provision, but never follow through with securing the border. This leads to new waves of illegal immigration and within a decade, the Left demands even more amnesty.
It happened to Ronald Reagan... It happened to George W Bush with the Secure Fence Act... now the GOP is trying to do it to Donald Trump.
Under the proposed plan, illegal aliens would get amnesty first. They would receive full legal status, be allowed to bring their family members into the country, and then get onto the pathway for citizenship.
The border wall project would only receive partial government funding -- enough to get construction started this year -- but it would be up to future Congresses to decide whether to finish the project.
But here is the real kicker: if future Congresses decide end the border wall project, the illegal aliens would still get to keep their amnesty and citizenship!
President Trump is smarter than this, but he can't hold back the amnesty wave all on his own. This is the plan that Lindsey Graham and the Republicans walked into the Oval Office yesterday. Sure, it approves border wall funding for the next calendar year, but it surrenders on amnesty at the same time.
Yesterday, we learned that Democrats have been courting Republicans to end the shutdown and block the wall forever. This is the GOP's response: begging for partial and revocable border wall funding and offering irrevocable amnesty in return.
No. The answer is no.
You need to rise up against this before it's too late. Don't let the GOP leadership get away with caving on immigration and making Obama's amnesty permanent!
Stop the surrender!
