President Trump has ordered Congressional Republicans to approve the border wall funding by the end of September.
The GOP is openly defying the President and refusing to even consider border wall funding until after the 2018 midterm elections. Even then, they refuse to even set a date for the vote.
The new GOP plan? Hold a vote on the border wall next year.
The establishment never had any plan to approve the border wall. They have been blocking this border funding for over 12 years, ever since Congress passed the Secure Fence Act in 2006.
They want to hold a vote next year to give Democrats a chance to retake the House. While the elections are in November, those Congressmen and Senators aren't sworn in until January. So even if the Democrats win, the Republicans would have just over two months left in control. But now the GOP is now saying that if the Democrats win back seats, they will not force the border wall funding through.
It really is now or never to get this done.
President Trump has responded by promising to shut down the government if the GOP blocks this border wall funding, but he needs your help to apply maximum pressure!
This past week, police arrested a human smuggler who trafficked illegal aliens across the southern border. But this wasn't the typical kind of case.
His name? Moyad Heider Mohammad Aldairi, a Jordanian man living in Mexico.
The people being smuggled in? Six Yemeni nationals.
Every day that this border is left unsecure, our national security is put at risk. That's not to even mention the criminal threats posed by an open border.
On July 27, a woman in New York was beaten to death on the street. After a massive manhunt, police found the suspected killer: Jose Olmos-Torres, a twice-deported illegal alien.
This man was deported twice. But because the border was wide open, he was allowed to sneak back into the United States every time. And now, an American is dead, bludgeoned to death on the street.
David Garcia is running as a Democrat to be Arizona's next governor. Over the weekend, he gave a speech at the annual liberal "Netroots" meeting. He asked attendees "to just take a second and imagine, let's imagine... just imagine no wall."
I want to ask you to do the same. Imagine an America where we are dragged back into Barack Obama's open border, amnesty, and catch-and-release policies. Imagine how many more Americans would be victimized. Imagine the toll that unchecked drug trafficking would have on our family members, friends, and neighbors.
President Trump's victory in 2016 gave us a chance to right the ship. Hillary Clinton was preparing to open the floodgates and the GOP was just going to let her do it.
But now, we have an opportunity to put this country back on the right path and secure the border once and for all.
President Trump is willing to fight with everything he's got to force Congress to approve the border wall.
