Yesterday, I cried for the first time in I don't know how long.
Police found Mollie Tibbetts' body dumped in a cornfield in Iowa. The month-long search for her body had come to a close.
Her suspected killer? Christian Bahena-Rivera, a illegal alien who ran her down while she was out on a jog. He confessed to the whole thing. He was following her and when she threatened to call the cops if he didn't leave her alone, he murdered her.
How many more innocent people need to die at the hands of illegal alien killers before Congress does its job and secures the border?
Apparently, at least one more. In Minnesota, Police arrested illegal alien Fraider Diaz-Carbajal and charged him with the brutal murder of his girlfriend. He savagely stabbed her to death.
In California, illegal alien Esteysi Sanchez was just convicted of second degree murder for driving drunk and killing a 69-year-old pedestrian.
These are just three stories from the last half week. Tragedies like these strike every single day.
Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell, through their inaction, are killing innocent people. People are dying because Congress can't be bothered to secure the border.
Liberals are already out in force declaring that Mollie Tibbetts' murder is not an immigration issue. The minute anyone kills someone with a firearm, they start advocating nationwide disarmament. But when an illegal alien kills an innocent American college student, they refuse to connect the dots.
They are also claiming that a border wall wouldn't have stopped this. Well, this illegal alien killer crossed the border at some point. Just last week when an illegal alien tried to climb over Trump's new border wall in California, he fell over the side, broke both his legs, and was arrested. Walls work.
If our border was secure and our immigration laws were enforced, Mollie Tibbetts would still be alive. The only reason she is dead is because this monster in the country illegally decided to run her down. He had absolutely no right to be here. Our immigration laws are in place to protect innocent people like Mollie from people like him.t
Senator Tom Cotton has had enough. He blasted Congress for allowing this to happen and is demanding an immediate vote on full border wall funding.
"Mollie would be alive if our government had taken immigration enforcement seriously years ago," he said.
Sen. Cotton is absolutely right.
Mollie Tibbetts is dead because past Congresses and administrations were too cowardly to secure the border. We cannot change the past.
We can change the future, but we have to act now.
Just this week, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were planning on pushing through spending bills that once again defunded the border wall. They were preparing to stab the American people in the back and leave the border unsecure. This tragedy has created a radical shift in Congress.
Congressmen and Senators are finally saying publicly that enough is enough and demanding full border wall funding. The GOP's blockade is starting to crumble.
Now is the time to finish this. Now is the time to bombard Congress and force them to secure the border once and for all!
I am done weeping for these innocent victims. I am done crying in front of the television screen when news like this breaks and hoping that this time, Congress does something. We are in this position because Congress has done nothing for 20+ years.
It is time to get angry.
Your elected officials think they can get away with doing nothing. Worse, they actually think they can get away with blocking the border wall project. This year, President Trump moved funding around to kickstart close to 100 miles of border wall construction.
As you read this, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are preparing a vote on a bill that would halt these projects in their tracks and leave the new wall segments half-finished.
The business interests that fund the GOP's campaigns are demanding more cheap laborers, so the Republicans leave the border wide open.
But their plan is starting to fail. Congressmen and Senators are waking up and demanding a real vote on border security. The pressure is mounting on the GOP establishment.
We have a chance, right now, to ensure that something comes from this tragedy. We have a chance to save countless American lives.
But you can't stay quiet. You need to get loud right now!
