Paul Ryan has announced he will run for Speaker of the House as long as Conservative lawmakers give up fighting for their constituents and surrender to the RINO agenda.
Of course, that means amnesty and likely some form of gun control. But when I actually read Ryan’s demands, I found something terrifying. He wants to overhaul the House rules to strip the Tea Party and other Conservative Congressmen of their power.
Deep in the House Rules is a parliamentary procedure known as a “motion to vacate the chair.”
The most Conservative Congressmen have used this motion in the past to threaten John Boehner every time he started inching towards the Democrats. When he looked like he was going to rubber stamp the liberal agenda, Conservatives threatened to vacate the chair and kick him out.
A motion to vacate the chair is essentially a no-confidence vote and it forces an immediate vote to remove a Speaker from power.
Rep. Paul Ryan has demanded that this rule be overhauled to remove the only safeguard against a Speaker’s tyranny. If Paul Ryan gets his way and is elected Speaker with this rule change, We the People would be powerless to stop him if he starts pushing his liberal agenda. Essentially, he has agreed to be Speaker as long as he can't be fired!
The motion to vacate the chair is the only mechanism to fight back against a tyrannical Speaker of the House. I am not saying that Paul Ryan would be a tyrant, but it is interesting that his #2 demand is that the only safeguard against tyranny be abolished.
Aside from that, Paul Ryan has made it painfully clear that he supports amnesty and a pathway to citizenship for illegal alien criminals. As Speaker of the House, he will have complete power to choose what bills come to the floor. You can bet your bottom dollar that amnesty will be at the top of his list.
I used to like Paul Ryan. I knew he wasn’t perfect, but he was close. With these latest demands, I can’t imagine how any true Conservative could support him as Speaker.
Never before has someone put conditions like this on running for Speaker. Never before has someone said they would lead as long as the safeguards against tyranny were removed.
Paul Ryan says he will be Speaker as long as Conservatives accept those conditions. But they are unacceptable.
There is a reason that Harry Reid and other Democrats have endorsed Paul Ryan. They know he will give them what they want! And if he succeeds in changing the house rules, Conservatives will be powerless to stop him.
Will you join me? Will you join in fighting this clear abuse of power and FaxBlast Congress demanding they vote no?
Or are you content watching another RINO, essentially Boehner Jr., ascend to the Speakership? I hope not...
