“The conclusion that the IRS came to is that they did have agents who were engaged in intimidation of political groups. I don't care if you're a conservative, a liberal, a Democrat or a Republican, this should send a chill up your spine. It needs to have a full investigation.” Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI)
The dirty “Chicago-style” politics of the Obama administration are finally coming to light. Evidence of what conservatives have long suspected blew right out into the open over the weekend, when the Internal Revenue Service admitted that they targeted tea party and conservative groups for added scrutiny … and that this behavior has likely been going on since March, 2010.
There is no question about it: our government is targeting Conservatives. Insist on a full investigation, now.
In addition to targeting conservative groups, there is strong suspicion that the IRS leaked confidential information during the election season, designed to hurt Republicans. “There is little question that one or more employees at the IRS stole our confidential tax return and leaked it to our political enemies, in violation of federal law,” said National Organization for Marriage president Brian Brow. “The only questions are who did it, and whether there was any knowledge or coordination between people in the White House, the Obama reelection campaign and the Human Rights Campaign. We and the American people deserve answers.”
But, the Obama administration will not likely give you any. They can’t even tell the truth on Benghazi, and they act as though all of us are dumb enough to believe them. If there ever was evidence that liberals don’t want what is best for America, consider that the IRS’s own documents stated they should target groups who wanted to “make America a better place to live.”
Obama and the liberals want to shut you up. Since he has been President, at least three different reports have been released labeling Americans with conservative views as extremists and terrorists—yet when the real enemies strike, the administration refuses to label them as such. Obama has truly made this an upside down world, and it is no wonder we conservatives often feel like we are drowning.
If this IRS wrongdoing were an isolated news event, it would be chilling enough; after all, it goes against everything the United States of America stands for.
However, it is especially troubling because the Obama administration is systematically dismantling our Bill of Rights and increasing surveillance on the American people. Government agencies are pulling information on citizens without just cause, and without warrants, and they are turning to the Internet more and more to spy on Americans. They want to read our emails, our instant messages, and our social media postings. The NSA is said to have a huge database of information on every citizen.
With Obama as President, whom do you think agencies are going to come after first? Members of progressive groups? Of course not.
Of course, Republicans are going to be all over this and many have already called for an investigation. But, want everyone in Congress, and in America, needs to realize, is that this is not just a GOP issue. This is an American issue.
Right now the Republicans are the targets and the IRS is in the hot seat; but any American of any political viewpoint could become a target at any time if we begin running our country without regard to our Constitutional freedoms. There should not be one single Member of Congress who does not feel this is an important issue to be investigated, and that is why is it imperative that we send thousands of faxes to Capitol Hill and make sure they know that.
We will not surrender our freedoms to a rogue President or a rogue government. America was founded on the principles of free speech, and the free reign of ideas. Obama may be trying to change that, but he will not succeed … not on our watch.
