Fellow Conservative,
Yesterday, the Supreme Court ruled that Iran must pay nearly $2 billion to victims of terror attacks that the Islamic Republic helped to finance. This is huge.
This ruling is absolutely spot-on. When a foreign government contributes to efforts to kill Americans, they must be held responsible. Victims should have every right to have their day in court.
As big as this ruling may seem, it’s peanuts compared to the bill that’s making its way through Congress.
In case you missed it, Barack Obama is in Saudi Arabia meeting with government officials. Why is he there? He is there to reassure the Royal Family that he will not let the truth about 9/11 come out. He is promising to keep their secret. How shameful!
Currently, there are 28 pages of the 9/11 intelligence report that remain classified. It is widely accepted that these pages implicate members of the Saudi Royal Family in financing Al-Qaeda and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. No one denies that the pages identify the Saudi Royal Family as financiers behind the attacks.
There is a bipartisan movement in Congress in favor of de-classifying these documents and allow 9/11 victims to go after the Saudi financers in court. Obama has promised to veto any bill that gets to his desk.
The President would rather keep the American people in the dark than reveal the truth about one of our "allies." This is pathetic.
When the President promises to veto legislation, and both Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan declare their opposition to it (despite bipartisan support for the bill), you know that this is a bill that needs to become law.
Congress can either declassify the documents to reveal the financial network backing the 9/11 terrorists or they can tell the world that governments can finance terrorist attacks against American citizens with impunity.
That’s the choice. One benefits the American people and the other benefits the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia.
Last July, documents and memos were declassified showing Saudi involvement in the 9/11 attacks. This memo linked Saudi foreign diplomats by name. Osama bin Laden’s half-brother, for example, was assigned as a Saudi diplomat to the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Washington DC. He was implicated in the attacks. The Saudi Government placed 9/11 conspirators in diplomatic outposts worldwide.
You can imagine what other links are made in the documents that are still classified!
The establishment wants to kill this bill. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was an original co-sponsor of the legislation. Now, he is single-handedly stalling the legislation’s progress. Co-sponsoring this bill was a genuine moment of honesty on Sen. Graham’s part, just before his establishment controllers told him to cease and desist.
The policy of the United States has always been that the government does not negotiate with terrorists. After this bill was filed in Congress, Saudi Arabia threatened to sell off $750 billion in US assets if the truth was revealed. When a state-sponsor of terrorism threatens economic war if the truth is revealed, then it is time to reveal the truth.
But more important than true transparency is the fact that this legislation would allow the victims of the 9/11 attacks, and their families, to bring lawsuits against the attack’s financers. Just like the Supreme Court awarded $2 billion to victims of Iranian-backed attacks, the legislation would open the door for restitution.
Here at Conservative Daily, we support this legislation wholeheartedly and we ask for you to do the same. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
That Barack Obama would travel to Saudi Arabia to promise to keep their secret is shameful.
That RINOs in the House and Senate would promise to stop this legislation from moving forward is shameful.
This past weekend, Barack Obama sent 9 Guantanamo detainees to Saudi Arabia for “re-education.” These included men who were previously caught recruiting for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Saudi Arabia. If this wasn't so dangerous, it would be laughable.
Putting the interest of a state-sponsor of terrorism over the needs of the American people, and the victims of the attacks, is treasonous. I don’t care if you think that is going too far. That is exactly what it is!
Don't let Obama bow to the Saudis!
