The United Nations has announced when it will begin enforcing its gun control treaty and the date it chose… is December 24th.
Yes, the U.N. chose Christmas Eve to begin its mission of disarming the world’s population.
While gun control advocates will cheer the symbolism of starting global arms control on the eve of Christ’s birthday, Christ’s message of pacifism should not be confused with preaching complete disarmament.
In Christ’s last hours, he told his disciples “he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36) Jesus also told his disciples “when a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace.” (Luke 11:21)
There is a time and a place for arms and even the world’s most famous pacifist recognized it. So to the Liberals who will undoubtedly send me hate mail, don’t tell me that protecting my family is un-Christian.
But, I digress…
The U.N. Arms Trade is coming and Barack Obama has promised on multiple occasions to do everything in his power to help implement it!
Republicans take control of the Senate in just two months. But we can’t wait that long! We need to force Congress to stop Obama NOW before it is too late!
It takes 50 countries to ratify a U.N. treaty before it is entered into force and the Arms Trade Treaty recently hit that milestone.
I completely expected that the Arms Trade Treaty would be relegated to the ash heap of history where it belongs, especially given the fact that most of the world’s superpowers – including some of the biggest arms producing countries – have so-far refused to ratify it.
The Senate shot the treaty down but Barack Obama had John Kerry sign it anyway with a promise to do everything in his power to aid in its implementation. It takes a super-majority in the Senate to ratify a treaty turn it into U.S. law.
Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution gives the President the “Power, by and with Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.” Obama knows he simply doesn’t have the votes to get the Arms Treaty ratified. But he also knows that with Harry Reid at the helm, he can do whatever he wants without consequence! When has that pesky Constitution ever stopped King Obama from doing what he wants?
However, now that 50 countries have officially ratified the Arms Trade Treaty, the United Nations has the authority to begin enforcing it. The goal is to make civilian disarmament an ‘international norm’ that all countries are mandated to obey and Obama has promised to do everything in his power to help implement this horrible gun control treaty!
When Pres. Obama was touring Europe earlier this year, he promised our European allies that his administration would go to the ends of the earth to help the United Nations “promote the entry into force of the Arms Trade Treaty in 2014.” The President knows that he doesn’t have the votes in Congress so he is going to work with the U.N. on his own to enact this horrible treaty.
We are a few months away from Republicans taking over control of the Senate. But between now and then, the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty will be implemented and enforced around the globe.
To top it all off, we have a President who is willing to sidestep the Constitution to implement his own globalist agenda.
American gun owners and second amendment enthusiasts cannot afford to have Barack Obama team up with the United Nations to enforce this horrible treaty.
It really is this simple. Obama does not have the constitutional authority to enact or help implement the globalist gun control agenda without the Senate’s permission. Now that the Treaty is entering into force, if Obama so much as lifts a finger to help implement it, he must be removed from office immediately!
