Today’s the day. At midnight tonight, if all goes well, the Department of Homeland Security will officially run out of funding.
I say GOOD! I'm here with Joe Otto at CPAC in Washington D.C. and I don't think that anything would make me happier than to arrive at the airport this weekend knowing that Homeland Security (and the TSA) was completely defunded. This is Obama's doing. What happens next is all because of his arrogance in believing that we Conservatives were too afraid to challenge him on his lawless.
This battle is over Obama’s amnesty executive actions. House Republicans have essentially given the Democrats an ultimatum: defund Obama’s amnesty or they’ll shut down the Department of Homeland Security. The Left is going to try to pin this on Republicans. Mitch McConnell has already surrendered to the Democrats but so far, John Boehner has held firm and refused to budge.
When a reporter asked Boehner yesterday whether he was comfortable shutting down Homeland Security, the Speaker just blew the reporter kisses. Perfect.
As happy as I am to see Boehner standing firm, that was yesterday. Today is a new day.
Forget whatever the politicians are saying publicly. Right now, they are meeting behind closed doors trying to figure out how to cave to Obama’s amnesty without incurring the wrath of WE the PEOPLE!
The GOP House leadership is only fighting against Obama’s amnesty because they know if they don’t stand firm, they will be removed from power by the other House Republicans.
We’ve reached the end of the line. By raising our voices, we have gotten this far without Boehner caving. He’s the only thing standing between Obama and complete amnesty.
You accomplished this. By being unapologetic and bombarding Congress, you have made even RINOs think twice about turning their backs on the Conservative base.
So this is it… One last push to make sure Boehner and his allies don’t cave. By this time tomorrow, we will be winners. But only if we raise our voices now!

It’s this simple: Boehner and the Republicans cannot be allowed to cave to Obama’s amnesty… PERIOD.
There are talks going on in Washington to introduce a temporary spending bill to tide DHS over until a week or two from now. These legislators want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to be able to tell their constituents that they held firm while simultaneously giving in and funding Homeland Security.
But what’s the point? Why give the Democrats another week or two to use this against us?
We’re at the crossroads now. We are literally hours away from defeating Obama’s amnesty. The Democrats will cave. All we need to do is make sure that the GOP doesn’t surrender first!
This is why we are pulling out all the stops. It is literally now or never. If we don’t make sure that John Boehner and the rest of the GOP holds the line, then no one will!
