On the same day that a massive terror attack took place in London, the Supreme Court agreed to expedite its ruling on President Trump's travel ban executive order. The move sets a deadline for parties to submit their written arguments no later than next week.
As you know, President Trump took action in March to mitigate the same terror threat that is gripping Europe. But activist judges on the 9th and 4th Circuit Courts decided to legislate from the bench and block the executive order from going into effect.
The whole purpose of Trump's Executive Order 13780 was to shut down immigration to these terror hotbeds and give the Department of Homeland Security time to devise "extreme vetting" procedures. Though the Trump administration announced last week that they would begin analyzing refugees' and immigrants' social media accounts for evidence of radicalization, a number of the extreme vetting proposals were blocked by these activist court orders.
These liberal judges didn't just block Pres. Trump from taking action, but they forced him to stick to Barack Obama's unvetted refugee agenda.
Congress is now applauding the Supreme Court's decision to expedite its decision. Not because the GOP leadership wants the Trump administration to win, but because they think they dodged a bullet on having to take action.

Nine unelected judges cannot be trusted to make this decision.The law on this is clear: the President has the statutory authority to bar "any class of alien" from entry into the United States.
Yet, right now, the safety and security of the American people will be decided by one man: Justice Anthony Kennedy. He is the swing vote and will ultimately decide the country's fate. He has a long history of inventing liberal court rulings out of thin air.
If you remember, it was the GOP leadership that pushed for Obama's refugee program to be shutdown last year. President Trump took up their cause and ran a campaign on a promise to strengthen America's immigration system. All of a sudden, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell changed their tune. They criticized Trump's refugee plan and allowed activist judges to shut it down.
You see, they don't want to get involved. They want Donald Trump to fail but they know that if they take action against the same policies they once voted for, there will be hell to pay. So, they have engaged in a battle of inaction. They have deliberately sat on their hands while court after court has put political correctness over the safety of the American people.
But their strategy is failing. Conservative Members of Congress are no longer willing to carry water for the RINOs in the party leadership. Not only are they demanding action against these liberal activist judges, but they are now also demanding that Congress defend the President's executive order!
If this is going to happen, it needs to come from the people. It needs to come from the very constituent that these cowards in Congress fear: YOU!
