Yesterday, at a ceremony hosted by gun control groups, Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) each announced their desire to reignite the push for gun control.
As you might remember, these were the two Senators behind the 2013 gun control push following the Sandy Hook shooting. They tried to get universal background checks/firearm registration, a ban on so-called “assault weapons,” and a ban on high-capacity magazines. Their previous gun control push failed to get the required 60-votes in the Senate.
However, with the tragedy in Charleston, South Carolina, they are hoping to get another shot at infringing on your Second Amendment rights. Are you going to let them?
The Left has been going crazy over the Charleston shooting last week. As horrific as it was, there isn’t a single Democrat policy that would have prevented it.
The shooter passed a background check, he used a pistol (not an “assault weapon”) and he reloaded his low-capacity magazines five times.
Yet, Barack Obama still is pretending that any of his unconstitutional gun control measures would have prevented the tragedy.
Hillary Clinton is out on the campaign trail promising that if she is elected, your Second Amendment rights will go out the window. Even Martin O’Malley has come out and promised more gun control.
So, the anti-gunners are gathering to make it happen.
We fought this legislation and beat it two years ago. But have you seen the fervor lately? Even Republicans are feeling the urge to just “do something.”
Another universal gun registration bill disguised as background checks. Unacceptable!
The announcement that Senators Manchin and Toomey would reintroduce their background check/assault weapons bill was met with applause from the Left. As we speak, they are mobilizing their supporters to get this done.
They are expecting you to sit on your hands and do nothing. They are planning on catching you off guard with this.
Are you going to let them? Or are you going to take a stand and stop this before they are able to gain any momentum?
