We are on our way to ShotShow, which is the firearm industry’s largest trade show of the year. Manufacturers will be showing off their new technologies and holding demos for products they expect to release in 2016.
But hanging over everything is Obama’s gun confiscation executive order.
As you well know by now, the President of the United States used an executive order to instruct the Social Security Administration to confiscate firearms from 75,000 retirees a year. This is a crazy number.
There are hundreds of thousands of Social Security beneficiaries who are on the books as needing a little help managing their finances. The Obama administration is using this as an excuse to make a mental health determination and classify them as unfit to own guns.
The SSA program is a carbon copy of what the VA has been doing for years and when veterans resisted this type of disarmament, government thugs showed up at their door to relieve them of their Second Amendment rights…
The Obama administration is going after the low-hanging fruit: the disabled and the elderly. They know that people living pay check to pay check and relying on their social security check likely can’t afford to fight them in court.
The President didn’t instruct the SSA to disarm beneficiaries as necessary. He gave them a 75,000/year quota.
This program expansion has been in the pipeline for a while. When it first leaked back in July, we bombarded Congress with hundreds of thousands of faxes and forced the head of the Social Security Administration to back down.
When the VA used this same excuse to disarm veterans and American heroes, we overwhelmed Congress with so many faxes that we forced them to get involved.
We are literally all in this together. Whether you are young or old, an assault on one of us is an assault on all of us. If it we allow the President to go after one segment of society, then we are all in his crosshairs. Obama believes himself to be a king. How else can you explain his arrogance in rewriting law like this?
What Obama is doing cannot stand!
