Fellow American,
Republicans retook the Senate and held the House of Representatives this year because they promised to stop Obama’s executive orders and general lawlessness.
They promised that they would fight tooth-and-nail to put a stop to Obama’s executive order. And they lied to you.
John Boehner can talk all he wants, but the one thing he has never been willing to do is back up that talk with action.
Yesterday, the Speaker of the House announced his plans to give in to Obama’s demands and fund the Obama administration through the end of the year. Instead of using the Power of the Purse to stop Obama’s lawlessness, GOP leaders are going to completely fund the government.
Instead of actually stopping this unconstitutional executive action, they plan to hold a ceremonial vote ‘denouncing’ Obama’s amnesty.
Here you have supposed-Conservatives who have the opportunity to stop Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty executive action once and for all. They have the ability to prevent even one cent from being allocated to it.
But they are too afraid. They are too afraid to honor their oaths and defend the Constitution against thus usurper!
The GOP’s plan is to fund almost the entire government for the next year. When it comes to the Department of Homeland Security – which is charged with implementing Obama’s amnesty – the funding will only last until the new Congress is sworn in this January.
Then, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner claim they are going to defund Obama’s amnesty plans.
Well, what happens when that defunding bill reaches Obama’s desk? Does anyone actually think that the President will sign something like that?
If GOP funds the entire government and tries to separately defund Obama’s amnesty, then we lose all of our leverage.
Suppose the GOP’s plan is implemented. The Congress will fund the entirety of government and then next year, Republicans will put a Homeland Security spending bill on Obama’s desk that defunds his amnesty.
But the President will veto it because at that point, he will have all the leverage. A presidential veto would mean the complete loss of border security and when Obama vetoes their plan, the GOP will cave and say they can’t afford to have Homeland Security shut down.
These are the details that the GOP isn’t telling you. They are much happier pretending that they are living up to their campaign promises than telling you the truth.
No, the only way to defund this is to place the ball in Obama’s court and force him to choose between financing the entire government and implementing his amnesty scheme. If Obama chooses illegals, then he is to blame for shutting down the government. Then it is his shutdown, not ours.
If John Boehner is allowed to surrender to the regime, then it is over. Then Obama’s illegal alien amnesty will be here to stay.
If you remain silent now and don’t raise your voice, it is OVER!
Boehner, McConnell, and the GOP leadership claim this is a compromise. That is a lie! This is surrender!
The Republicans have only one piece of leverage and that is the national budget. If they give up this leverage without forcing Obama to retreat on his amnesty plan, then it is over.
This is the ONE shot we have at turning back Obama’s amnesty agenda.
If we want to have the discussion about legalizing illegal aliens, then that needs to be done in the Congress, not from the Oval Office. Obama admitted at a speaking event last week that his executive action “changed the law.” He is admitting to violating the Constitution and he isn’t even afraid because he expects Congress to be too spineless to stop him.
We don’t live in an ends justify the means society and if Obama’s executive order is allowed to stand, it will mean the end to our Republic.
I understand that it is hard to fight for everything. There are so many causes out there that it is easy to be overwhelmed. But if you remain silent, we lose. We can’t win by remaining silent.
We aren’t advocating anything that the majority of Congress hasn’t already promised to do. All we need to do is remind these politicians of what happens when they turn on We the People. This is about making Congressmen and Senators honor their oaths and their campaign promises!
