Fellow Conservative,
Today is the 43rd anniversary of the Roe v Wade decision. As you read this, hundreds of thousands of Americans are gathering and marching in Washington DC during a blizzard in one of the largest shows of force of its kind.
I am talking about the March for Life.
There are plenty of politicians and candidates who will make appearances. Many will give great speeches and likely garner huge applause. But as soon as they leave the stage, it will be back to business as usual.
Congress failed us this year. There's no way to sugar-coat it. They failed you. Now, they think they can brush their failures under the rug and keep our support.
No way.
They had multiple opportunities to make significant progress to protect the rights of the unborn, but they cowered.
Planned Parenthood still receives a TON of taxpayer money. They use this money, ultimately, to subsidize their abortion services, including their programs that profit off of fetal organ sales. Then, at the end of the year, they have enough left over to donate millions of dollars to liberal politicians. And the cycle repeats the next year.
Congress set up a Select Committee to investigate Planned Parenthood, but the Democrats have blocked any progress. They put a former PP Board Member on the committee. How impartial could they possibly be?
Congress gave a half-hearted effort to ban all late term abortions. The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would have ensured that all babies who could survive outside the womb would be given that chance. With scientific and medical advancements, premature babies are able to survive earlier and earlier. The law hasn't caught up to the science. Right now, it is perfectly legal to abort an unborn baby that would be able to survive outside the womb.
I don't know about you, but that is infanticide.
But the truth of the matter is that the GOP isn't fighting as if this is infanticide.
Unborn children are being killed and sold for their organs. Babies in-utero that can feel pain are being ripped apart limb from limb. The last thing they feel is immeasurable pain.
The unborn are being killed in the womb, even when the science and statistics say that they have a legitimate shot at surviving outside the womb and growing to adulthood.
Christ teaches us that the true measure of a society is how it treats the most vulnerable. There is no population more vulnerable than the unborn.
As I mentioned, there are tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people gathering today in Washington to fight for the unborn. They are going to be doing this in the middle of a blizzard.
We can't all be there, but that doesn't mean we can't join the fight!
Using our system, you can make sure that the pro-life message reverberates throughout the halls of Congress! You don't need to travel across the country and march during a blizzard to make sure your voice is heard!
Sincerely,
Max McGuire
