Fellow Conservative,
I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Ben Carson yesterday at a pro-life event. He was surprisingly down to earth.
But during his speech, he called on everyone in the audience to take a stand and protect those most vulnerable who cannot defend themselves: the unborn.
It has been an up and down year for the pro-life movement. All the opinion polls show that the American public is shifting towards our side.
The other side, however, continues to contend that the unborn child is nothing but a clump of cells. They willingly snuff him or her out and then dissect them to sell off their underdeveloped organs.
It’s so despicable. The unborn have no value to them except as a tool for medical research.
There are a number of bills that have stalled in Congress. But just because the pro-death Democrats have blocked us to this point, doesn’t mean we stop fighting!
The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is as common-sense as it gets.
At 21-weeks, children in the womb begin to feel pain. If a surgeon has to go in and operate on a child in-utero, anesthesia must be administered in order for the surgery to be legal and ethical.
But that is only for constructive surgery.
If the doctor is performing destructive surgery – aka an abortion – not only is anesthesia not used, but the doctor proceeds to rip the baby apart limb-from-limb in the womb.
At 21-weeks, the baby feels everything. The last thing they know is being ripped apart by doctors whose only goal is to get intact “specimens” to sell to the highest bidder.
It is also no coincidence that babies born alive premature at 21-weeks have survived and lived healthy lives.
Just a few years ago, a baby was born at 21-weeks in Germany and not only survived, but thrived in the hospital and ended up going home with her mother on schedule. She weighed one pound.
The measure of a civilization is how it treats its weakest.
So, how are we treating them? The last vote on this bill was held on September 22, 2015. If Congress passes this legislation, they will save 27 babies every day.
That means that since Congress last voted on the legislation, more than 1700 viable babies have been murdered.
What is Congress doing to protect the littlest of their constituents? Well, instead of appointing representatives to the Planned Parenthood investigation who actually wanted the truth, Nancy Pelosi appointed 6 Congressmen who received campaign donations from the abortion provider. One of them used to be on Planned Parenthood’s board.
Despicable.
The culture of death in Congress is still going strong, unfortunately.
Even with all of our medical advancements, there are still Democrats who believe a woman should have the right to kill her child up to the minute he or she is born.
They can’t fight for themselves. They are powerless.
It is your job to speak for them. It is your responsibility to fight for them.
I know it’s Thanksgiving week… I know that there is a lot going on in your life that demands your attention…
The turkey needs to be thawed, the house needs to be cleaned…
But what I am asking you to do won’t take but one minute. With our state of the art FaxBlast system, it has never been easier to contact your Congressman and Senators to demand action!
Sincerely,
Max McGuire
