When the news first broke that US District Judge Andrew Hanen was forcing the administration to suspend its amnesty plans, we knew this wouldn’t be enough.
Boehner, McConnell, and the rest of the RINOs cheered because the court injunction meant they could avoid actually having to do something about Obama’s amnesty.
We learned that the administration “accidentally” violated the judge’s orders and handed out amnesty anyway. They said they were “sorry.”
But now, the White House is done pretending. A leaked DHS memo proves that the administration is going to give these illegal aliens work permits in defiant violation of the court order!
The memo outlines that the Department of Homeland Security is defying Judge Hanen and approving illegal aliens for Employment Authorization Documents.
Even though they’re here illegally and even though Federal law explicitly prohibits them from working in the United States, Obama is going to give them work permits.
Last March, John Boehner and Mitch McConnell said that Congressional action was unnecessary because the court injunction was sufficient. They were wrong now and the Establishment is wrong now.
Paul Ryan promised yesterday that he would not allow amnesty legislation through the House of Representatives because the Obama administration cannot be trusted to faithfully implement anything.
That’s great news, but irrelevant if he is willing to just stand by while Obama violates a court order and distributes amnesty paperwork anyway!
Do you know what the GOP is doing right now to stop this? Nothing. Nothing at all.
These Congressmen and Senators are bought and paid for by the special interests that want this cheap immigrant labor. They know they can’t afford to vote for amnesty, but they are going to sit on their hands and allow Barack Obama to act unilaterally.
This is UNACCEPTABLE and we need to make sure that Congress understands that we know this is unacceptable.
Homeland Security is implementing this regulatory change now. They are already printing work permits for illegal aliens.
The question is what are you going to do about it? I don’t say that to put you on the spot or guilt you into doing something. I ask that because as citizens, we each have a responsibility to put a stop to this.
It’s easy to sit back and do nothing. The Establishment has already proven that.
To paraphrase JFK, we fight against Obama’s amnesty agenda not because it is easy, but precisely because it is hard and because if we don’t, who will?
