Paul Ryan wants to have his cake and eat it too.
He announced he will be retiring in January but still wants to hold onto power in the House. He's not clinging to power to push the Conservative agenda he promised Americans. He wants the opposite.
We were the first to report that Paul Ryan would push a "clean" amnesty bill before leaving Congress. Yesterday, Ryan spoke to a Fox News reporter and admitted that he wants to hold a vote on a clean 'dream act,' legislation that would allow Obama's illegal aliens to stay in the US permanently. When he says it would be a "clean" bill, that means that it would not include border security provisions like a border wall authorization.
But there are other issues on the horizon that Ryan is eager to stab Conservatives in the back on. One is an establishment plan to legalize Federal gun confiscations. The other is a bill to prevent Trump or anyone else from firing Robert Mueller, allowing the witch hunt to continue indefinitely.
Conservatives in Congress are starting to see Ryan's lame duck agenda taking shape and they are now pushing for him to step down now.
"This just seems like such an improbable proposition, that we would have a lame-duck Speaker for eight months," Rep. Thomas Massie proclaimed. Massie has been on the front lines, blowing the whistle on Ryan's plans to pass things like amnesty and gun control.
It isn't just a conservative push, either. Moderate Republicans are starting to agree that it's time for Ryan to step down. Rep. Adam Kinzinger declared that Ryan should be replaced "sooner rather than later."
"I don't know if there's so much goodwill that they'll let him stay as Speaker," admitted Rep. Joe Barton.
Paul Ryan has stood in the way of the Conservative agenda from the minute he was sworn in as Speaker of the House. He promised the establishment that he would always resist Pres. Trump's policies and he made good on that promise. He has single-handedly blocked the Border Wall from moving forward.
There really is only one question: can we afford to have Paul Ryan calling the shots for the next eight months?
He isn't running for re-election so he is completely unaccountable to the American people or the voters in Wisconsin. It hasn't been a week since he announced his impending retirement and we've already seen Paul Ryan move to the left. He has nothing to fear so his true colors are starting to show.
You MUST force Congress to replace him now. Not in eight months, now!
There is nothing more dangerous than a lame duck politician who has nothing to lose. We saw it in Barack Obama, who tried desperately to push through as many radical regulations prior to Trump taking office.
Now we are seeing the same with Paul Ryan. It is time for him to be removed.
For the first time, we have Conservative and Moderate Republicans saying publicly that it's time for Ryan to be replaced.
It is up to YOU to force Congress to make this happen!
