Congressional leadership is just sitting on the biggest pro-gun bill in American history and they're refusing to push it through.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would restore the right to bear arms to tens of millions of Americans. 

Currently, if you have a concealed carry permit in one state, you cannot use it to carry in all states. States like Illinois and California refuse to honor any out of state permit.

This bill would force states to treat carry permits like driver's licenses. If it is valid in one state, it must be valid in all states.

But the bill goes farther than that. Currently, 25% of Americans live in states that refuse to issue any concealed carry permits. In states like California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Hawaii, police have the power to deny carry permit applications for any reason.

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would give these Americans their rights back. If a state like California won't respect their citizens' rights, then Congress must force them too!

The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act passed the House last year, but at the last moment, the GOP leadership attached a massive gun control amendment: the Fix NICS bill. They told us that we needed to give the RINOs something in return for reciprocity.

But then late last year, Ryan betrayed us. He stripped the Fix NICS provision and added it to the omnibus bill, leaving Concealed Carry Reciprocity on the cutting room floor. He is refusing to put the bill back up for a vote. 

In the Senate, Mitch McConnell is also refusing to put the legislation up for a vote. There are ten Democrats up for re-election in the Senate from states that Trump won. They include Democrat Senators from West Virginia, Missouri, North Dakota, Montana, and Ohio.

McConnell should be forcing these vulnerable Democrats to go on the record on the 2nd Amendment. If we can pressure them into backing the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, then we'll have enough votes to put it on Trump's desk. If they refuse, well... does anyone really think a Democrat who opposes the 2nd Amendment can win in these deep red states?

But that isn't what McConnell is doing. He is letting these Democrats off the hook. He would rather let reciprocity die than fight for its passage. Instead, he is negotiating another gun control vote...

I grew up in New Jersey. I applied for a concealed carry permit and was denied for not having a "justifiable need." But I had a Utah permit that allowed me to carry a concealed weapon when I was in Pennsylvania.

Whenever I would drive home, I had to stop at the border, disarm, and lock my pistol in the trunk before I was allowed to cross the state line. This is absolute madness.

We have an opportunity right now not only to make nationwide reciprocity a reality, but to tear down the gun control iron curtain that has kept 25% of Americans disarmed for over a century.

Not only is this the biggest pro-gun bill ever, but it is the biggest civil rights bill of my lifetime.

This is our moment, our chance to restore the 2nd Amendment and the right to bear arms.

Please don't let these turncoats abandon the American people!
