During his short-lived candidacy, Mike Bloomberg used his gun control organization, Everytown for Gun Safety to promote his candidacy. An Everytown volunteer was featured in his Super Bowl advertisement and members of Moms Demand Action, an Everytown subsidiary, filled his campaign rallies.

But with Mini Mike out of the race, the gun control movement now needs a new standard bearer. While there are a number of anti-gun organizations that have yet to endorse a candidate, Everytown for Gun Safety is not leeting grass grow beneath its feet.

Everytown has come out and formally endorsed Joe Biden for President.

This should tell you all you need to know about where Joe Biden stands on guns. He just received the endorsement of one of the most rabid, anti-gun organizations in the country.

Biden is welcoming the praise. Last week, he offered to bring Beto O'Rourke onto the campaign to run his gun control agenda. As we have previously reported, Joe Biden has admitted that if he wins, he will be coming for Americans' guns.

Not all of Everytown's members are enthusiastic about the endorsement. As you remember, Everytown and Moms Demand volunteers were shocked to hear that Mike Bloomberg considered them to be "his." They are not nearly as monolithic as Everytown's leadership would want them to be...

Usually, Democrat candidates have tried to hide their anti-gun agenda for fear of it being used against them in the General Election. Biden, however, is apparently confident enough to let it all out.
