Yesterday, H.R. 1 - the so-called "For The People Act" - failed to garner the 60 votes necessary to move forward in the Senate. As of right now, the bill has stalled.
This is good news! This is the legislation that Democrats were trying to push through to change the election laws in all 50 states to make elections easier to steal. The bill would have done a lot of crazy things, including overturning state-level voter ID laws, allowing ballots to trickle in up to 10 days after an election, and mandate states conduct a 100% vote-by-mail election whenever there is an infectious disease or natural disaster.
Under the Senate's rules, 60 Senators need to vote to start or end debate on a piece of legislation. This is known as "cloture." If there aren't 60 Senators willing to vote to end debate, then the bill is blocked from reaching its final vote because the debate period technically never ends.
H.R. 1 failed in the Senate because the filibuster is still in place. Republicans denied the 50-vote Democrat majority the 10 GOP votes needed to take the bill to a final vote.
To say Democrats are furious would be the understatement of the century. Even though the Left used the filibuster last year no less than 300 times to block Trump nominees and agenda items, Democrats now claim that the Republicans using it for the 2nd time this year now constitutes a 'constitutional crisis.'
Democrats are pushing to abolish the filibuster so they can ram this election fraud bill down our throats with just a simple 50 vote majority (plus Kamala Harris' tie-breaking 51st vote).

The cloture vote failed 50-50. This is a big deal because that means all 50 Democrats voted for it. Going into yesterday, Democrats were one-vote shy. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) had said he would vote against the bill. However, when it came time for the cloture vote, Manchin decided to vote with Democrats.
He said he would have voted against the legislation on a final vote but had agreed to vote to end debate anyway.
Republicans used to do this all the time during the Trump Presidency. In both the House and the Senate, GOPers would tee up a bill that they knew Conservatives would hate and then allow a minority of Republicans to join up with Democrats to push it through.
Manchin says he wants H.R. 1 to receive a full debate and reach a final vote. He promises that he would vote against it, but wants to help the legislation get 99% of the way towards passage...
Democrats are furious.
"Every single Senate Republican voted against even starting debate on critical voting rights legislation," Chuck Schumer whined. "Senate Republicans again signed their names alongside Trump, the Big Lie, voter suppression. Make no mistake: The fight in the Senate to protect voting rights is not over."
Elizabeth Warren was also pretty whiny, even for her: Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republican minority just used the filibuster to keep Congress from protecting our democracy. We cannot throw our democracy over a cliff in order to protect a Senate rule that isn’t even part of the Constitution. End the filibuster."
This is the Democrats' next play: end the filibuster so they can ram this election fraud bill and other radical bills through without the Republicans being able to stop them.
If they succeed in abolishing the filibuster, or even just lifting it for a handful of their radical agenda items, it will be too late. If you want to stop this madness, you need to stand up and fight right now!

This is the fight. We have succeeded in forcing Republicans to hold the line on key issues. Republicans voted down the "January 6th Commission," an attempt by Democrats to continue investigating and demonizing Conservative protesters and now they have voted down the Democrats' nationwide election fraud bill.
This only happened because YOU forced it. The only reason the Republicans held the line is because they were terrified of what would happen if they didn't...
Democrats just suffered two major defeats in a row. But it's not time to celebrate yet. The only thing holding back a flood of Leftist bills is the filibuster. Democrats can remove it with just 50 votes plus Kamala Harris' tie-breaking vote.
Again, the only thing that has stopped that from happening is FEAR; fear of what will happen to them if they go along with the Schumer-Warren plan to abolish or lift the filibuster to ram this election bill through.
But that fear only exists if you get loud, right now!
