There aren't a whole lot of feel good stories out there, but this is one of them.

Southwood High School in Louisiana was going through a violent spell, to say the least. Over the course of three days, 23 students were arrested for brawling at school.

It looked like the school was just going to implode. The Principal and School Board had no idea how to stop the violence.

Then, the Dads stepped up.

A group of 40 Dads decided they were going to take matters into their own hands and hang out at school, in shift, to discourage the kids from fighting.

It worked. Not only did students refrain from fighting in front of their dads, but the the Dads On Duty also noticed something else: they were able to serve as father figures to students who didn't have male role models in their lives.

And wouldn't you know... there haven't been any more brawls since Dads On Duty started showing up at the school...
