Fellow American,

Our prayers go out to all of the victims of the Las Vegas shooting last night. Based on what we know so far, a 64-year-old man used an illegal fully-automatic rifle to open fire on a country music concert from his 32nd floor hotel room. As is our policy, we will not use the shooter's name. He doesn't deserve the recognition. More information is still coming out, but we know that there are more than 50 dead and more than 400 wounded.

This is the worst shooting in American history and like clock work, before all of the facts are even known, gun control advocates are already out in force trying to use this to block 2nd Amendment bills from passing in Congress.

We are now hearing that the GOP leadership is going to pull a bill that was loosely scheduled for a vote this week. The Sportsmen's Heritage and Recreational Enhancement (S.H.A.R.E) Act would have undone most of the Obama administration's most idiotic gun control regulations and ensure that future Presidents would never be allowed to go after your rights by banning ammunition or imposing obscure import regulations.

When Obama wasn't able to get his gun control bills to pass through Congress, that is how he went after your rights. He used environmental regulations to try to make lead ammunition impossible to manufacture and illegal to possess on federal land. Then, he turned around and used a police officer safety law to have the ATF try to make non-lead ammunition illegal to purchase in the United States. Yes, he went after all types of ammunition. When Obama tried to ban popular AR-15 ammunition, we were literally the first to launch an offensive against the unconstitutional regulation. Yes, we were faster than the NRA in that instance.

The S.H.A.R.E Act would have not only reversed Obama's asinine anti-gun and anti-ammunition regulations, but it would have prevented any future President from trying to do it again. But now, the GOP leadership is pulling the bill once again...

GOP leadership is cancelling a vote on a major 2nd Amendment bill! Send your FaxBlast to Congress and STOP these liberals from dismantling the 2nd Amendment!

This legislation was supposed to get a vote in mid-June. On the same day it was going to be voted on in committee, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot during a Congressional baseball practice and the bill was immediately pulled from the calendar. Paul Ryan and others declared the timing wasn't right to protect the 2nd Amendment.

We have spent the past three months pressuring Congress to reschedule the vote and pass this common-sense bill. I just did the count. You helped to bombard Congress with close to a mil lion faxblasts demanding that the bill be voted on. That was finally going to happen this week. Now, another horrific shooting has the GOP establishment backpedalling and pulling the legislation once again. They are once again saying the timing isn't right to protect the 2nd Amendment...

And, like clockwork, Democrats are also demanding more gun control. They don't care that the shooter seems to have used an illegal machine gun. They are trying to get every single pro-gun bill pulled from the legislative calendar.

First, they're going after the S.H.A.R.E Act. Next, they are promising to defeat the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. It doesn't matter if the bill has nothing to do with this tragedy. The gun control movement is mobilizing to defeat the 2nd Amendment, once and for all.

We are already hearing that the GOP is moving to 're-schedule' these pro-2nd Amendment bills.

Don't let this happen. Don't let the GOP cower and abandon defending the 2nd Amendment!

Don't let the GOP abandon these pro-2nd Amendment bills! Send your instant FaxBlast to Congress and FORCE them to defend Americans' 2nd Amendment rights and put an end to this new gun control push!

Do you remember what happened after Sandy Hook? The Democrats and liberal Republicans came just a few votes away from dismantling the 2nd Amendment as we know it. They came just a few votes away from passing the largest gun ban in American history and finally creating a nationwide gun owner registry.

The same cast of characters is back. The shooter had an illegal machine gun and Hillary Clinton is on social media today blaming American gun owners and calling on her supporters to resume their gun control push. Diane Feinstein is already preparing to re-introduce her gun-ban legislation and other democrats want to make it even harder for Americans to defend themselves. And the liberal media is carrying their water, trying to scare the American people into giving up their 2nd Amendment rights.

And in true GOP-fashion, Republicans are terrified and playing right into their hands.

The shooting in Las Vegas is horrible. The fact that someone would take so many innocent lives is absolutely heartwrenching and we will continue to learn more about the shooter's motivations today. But already, we are in the fight of our lives to not only protect the 2nd Amendment from attack, but also to move forward with these bills that would safeguard it for generations to come.

The Founders knew that this day would come when parts of government would once again turn on its citizens' rights. We all experienced the gun control push after Sandy Hook. You know just how close we came to losing your rights.

What no one could have guessed would be that the Republicans who spent the last 8 years fighting Obama's gun control would now be willing to bow to the Left's pressure and turn their backs on the 2nd Amendment.

These fights are won by whichever side is louder. The gun control groups like Moms Demand Action are already rallying their millions of supporters. It doesn't matter that they know nothing about guns. They are all now bombarding Congress with letters, calls, and faxes. They are hoping that at the end of the day, they are louder than you.

It's time to stand and fight back before it's too late.

Don't let these gun-grabbers succeed! Send your urgent and instant FaxBlast to Congress and force them to defend your 2nd Amendment rights and put an end to this new gun control push!

Sincerely,

Joe Otto
