Biden abandoned Americans in Afghanistan. He abandoned hundreds, if not thousands of them.

Since Biden left them behind last week, US military veterans have been on the ground trying to rescue American citizens and Afghan allies before the Taliban kill them. These are retired soldiers and Special Forces who flew to Afghanistan on their own to do the job that the Biden administration refused to do...

Over the past week, they rescued a lot of people: Enough to fill SIX commercial airliners. They were loaded onto the plane and set to depart Mazar-i-Sharif International Airport when they were abruptly stopped. The Taliban figured out that planes full of Americans were trying to flee, so they halted the take-offs.

Thanks to the Biden administration, the Taliban now have American-made surface-to-air missiles and can shoot the airliners down if they try to take off without authorization. Since the flights were grounded, Americans have been pleading with the State Department to intervene. But the Biden administration hasn't lifted a finger to help them...

Where is Joe Biden during this hostage crisis? He is on vacation. While Americans were being held hostage at gunpoint, Joe Biden flew to Delaware for yet another vacation. It was his third vacation in Delaware since the beginning of August (his fourth total vacation if you include his trip to Camp David). Americans are being held hostage right now because Joe Biden doesn't care about them, plain and simple.

Where is Kamala Harris during this hostage crisis? She is headed to California to campaign to try to save Gavin Newsom from a recall. While Americans are being held hostage, her priority is party politics.

The Biden State Department responded to the hostage situation by warning Americans that the United States "does not have personnel on the ground in Mazar, we do not have air assets in the country, and we do not control the airspace." In other words, the Biden administration left these Americans behind and now they have no intention of helping them escape on their own.

Believe it or not, it is actually apparently worse than that. Special Forces vets on the ground are now saying that Biden administration officials are actually the ones blocking the planes from taking off.

"This is zero place to be negotiating with American lives. Those are our people standing on the tarmac and all it takes is a f****ing phone call," one of the rescuers told Fox News. "If one life is lost as a result of this, the blood is on the White House's hands. The blood is on their hands. It is not the Taliban that is holding this up – as much as it sickens me to say that – it is the United States government."

The Biden administration has already claimed victory. They have already declared that the withdrawal was a "success." They are refusing to help these people because they are refusing to even acknowledge they exist.

Rep. Mike Gallagher has a solution: H.R. 5071. The bill doesn't have a flashy name, but its purpose is simple: to force the Biden regime to rescue the Americans left behind.

H.R. 5071 would require the Biden regime (1) deliver a plan to bring the trapped Americans home, (2) demand an accounting of all the equipment left behind, (3) require transparency on any deals or agreements made by the Biden Administration with the Taliban, (4) establish a sense of Congress that that Taliban should not be recognized as the government of Afghanistan, and (5) prohibit any federal funding, aid, or sanctions relief to the Taliban.

Rep. Gallagher's bill is common sense and all of that really should go without saying. But in a Biden administration more interested in managing political optics than saving Americans, they aren't doing any of this.

Last week, Rep. Gallagher tried to push this bill through using "Unanimous Consent." This is a process that lets a bill get fast-tracked if everyone in Congress agrees to pass it. Disgustingly, one Democrat stood up and shouted "object," essentially blocking H.R. 5071 from passing outside of regular order.

But the bill is not dead! We can still push this through, but you are going to need to get loud and demand it!

It is disgusting that we live in a world where it would even be necessary for Congress to pass a law forcing Biden to rescue Americans and blocking him from recognizing or giving aid to the Taliban, but that is the reality...

If this bill does not pass, the Biden administration will not save these trapped Americans. Just last week, Biden's National Security Advisor was on television discussing giving the Taliban US foreign aid. We just gave the Taliban more than 83 billion-worth of military hardware and entire pallets of 100 dollar bills and the idiots in the Biden regime are discussing giving them MORE aid.

We are also hearing that Biden is considering giving both the Taliban and the Afghan resistance fighters Covid-19 relief aid. Everyone knows when there is a civil war, the most important thing to do is make sure both sides aren't spreading a virus with a 99.8 survival rate... That was sarcasm, by the way. I knew Biden was stupid, but I never thought he'd be dumb enough to give the Taliban Covid-19 relief aid...

This bill is the only thing stopping Biden from doing this...

Sincerely,

Max McGuire
