I have been saying this a lot lately, but I really do hate throwing the word "treason" around. Since the penalty for treason can be death, it is important that we only use it when it truly fits the crime.
General Mark Milley committed treason. It is not even questionable.
Multiple outlets are now reporting that General Mark Milley, on October 30, 2020 and then again on January 8, 2021, called China's top general and reassured him that should the United States ever attack China, Milley would warn them first.
Milley also gathered top generals in a room and forced them to swear an oath not to obey any military orders from Trump if it involved attacking another country. He then contacted Nancy Pelosi and promised her that he was not going to let Donald Trump issue any military orders.
Milley's conversations with Pelosi and other Generals were illegal and a clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Milley plotted to stage a military coup if Donald Trump ever issued an order to attack another country. For that alone, Mark Milley should be rotting in a cell in Leavenworth.
But his call to the Chinese General... that is literal treason.
As we have reported, treason is one of just three crimes actually defined in the Constitution (the other two are piracy and counterfeiting). The Founders did this to make sure that a party in power couldn't change the definition to go after their opponents.
We all know what the definition of Treason is: It is either (1) taking up arms against the United States or (2) giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
By calling his Chinese counterpart and promising to give them advanced warning before any American attack, that was absolutely treasonous. At the very least, it was a conspiracy to commit treason, since he was promising a foreign power to help them in a future time of war.
The punishment for treason is either prison (minimum of 5 years) or death. There is no statute of limitations for treason. The fact that Mark Milley wasn't immediately taken into custody and charged with treason when this news broke yesterday is disgraceful.
Conservatives and Republicans in Congress are now moving to force a formal Congressional investigation into Milley's treason, complete with a criminal referral. Marco Rubio was the first out the gate, demanding that Milley be fired.
That's not good enough. This man committed the most heinous crime possible against his country. He colluded to help a foreign adversary, an enemy, win a military engagement against the United States. This man is unfit to wear the uniform.
Milley deserved to be fired simply on charges for his disgraceful conduct during the Afghanistan withdrawal. We called for Milley's firing when he testified before Congress that it was the Military's job to study non-existent "white rage" as a part of critical race theory. Bottom line, he should have been fired a long time ago.
But to collude with other traitors to plot a military coup, and then to promise a foreign power that he would warn them about any future attack against them? That is treason.
The punishment is not his firing... The punishment is a trial and, if he is found guilty, a trip to the gallows.
Treason is a death penalty offense because it serves as a warning to others of what happens to them if they collude with our enemies or take up arms against us. No one should ever be allowed to get away with treason, but certainly not the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff!
Mark Milley must be dragged in to publicly answer for his crimes and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!
The media is already in full cover-up mode. They are trying to brand Milley as a hero. Their narrative is that he was just trying to save the United States from President Trump.
Not a single human being has ever voted for Mark Milley. He deliberately undermined and conspired against his Commander in Chief. God forbid, what would have happened if the country really was attacked and President Trump tried to respond, only for Milley and his co-conspirators to stop the orders from being relayed? Thank God that didn't happen, because tens of millions of Americans would have been dead.
And that is why this is treason and has to be treated as a death penalty case. If war actually had broken out between the US and China, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff was going to protect China and condemn tens of millions of Americans to die.
He is a traitor to his country, a traitor to his nation. Saying he is unfit to serve this country is an understatement. If ever there was a time to try someone for treason, this is that moment...
Mark Milley must be relieved of his duty, dragged in to publicly answer for his crimes, and then prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Conservatives in Congress are trying to force the hearings, but they need your help right now!
Arrest Milley Now!
