Have you heard the news? The reason that Congress has not passed any major pro-gun legislation is because a handful of Republicans don't want to and Paul Ryan is too weak-kneed to force them to vote.
This is the only thing standing between us and winning on issues like deregulated suppressors and nationwide concealed carry.
Think about it. If the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act passes, any law-abiding American would all of a sudden have the ability to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights in all 50 states. This is even true in states like New Jersey and California. Under the bill, anyone who lives in one of these gun control states would be allowed to use a non-resident carry permit from a state like Florida or Utah and use it to carry nationwide. This legislation would literally dismantle these states' heinous gun control laws...
This is the opportunity of a lifetime. We have a President who has promised, on multiple occasions, that if a concealed carry reciprocity bill hits his desk, he will sign it. We have the votes. Just this week, Rep. Ken Calvert became the 244th Member of Congress to co-sponsor the legislation.
This Congress is the most infective Congress in the past 164 years. That is because the GOP leadership is unwilling and afraid to do the things they promised to do.
There is literally no excuse for this. We have spent the past 8 years fighting to stop Obama and the Democrats from forcing gun control down our throats. Now that we have a chance to go on offense, we're stuck with feckless RINOs.
I refuse to stop fighting. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We have a chance to not only expand the 2nd Amendment rights for all Americans, but also to overrule the Supreme Court and activist judges in liberal states. Last month, the Supreme Court refused to take up a challenge to California's carry ban. If Congress passes this legislation, they will essentially overrule these judges and expand the right to carry nationwide!
Paul Ryan is starting to buckle. When he was called out on the delay last week, he tried to deflect and blame other Republicans in Congress for not passing reciprocity.
You need to keep up the pressure!
