Breaking News: Paul Ryan and his GOP allies are working on a deal with Democrats to block the border wall from ever being built!
It has been nothing short of amazing watching Republican lame-duck Congressmen and Senators, who either chose to retire or were removed from office this year, spend their final days in Congress blocking the Conservative agenda.
A couple dozen so-called Republicans have joined Democrats to stop the border wall project from gaining any steam.
Yesterday, President Trump signed legislation setting the final deadline for the rest of the government spending bills to be signed into law. Because of George HW Bush's funeral services, Congressional leadership had warned the President that they would not be able to fund the government in time for yesterday's deadline. So, the deadline to fund the government has now been set for December 21.
That is just four days before Christmas and fourteen days before Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats take over the House.
Republicans should be working overtime to finish what they started and secure funding for the border wall and other conservative agenda items. This should be a time for Republicans to be banding together to fulfill the promises that they've made us. Instead, we are seeing Republican traitors joining the left to run out the clock on the border wall project.
I have to tip my cap to Paul Ryan. He said from the very beginning that he would do everything in his power to block the President's immigration agenda. Over the past two years, he has done just that.
In both 2017 and 2018, Paul Ryan struck deals with Democrats to prohibit border wall construction. Remember the border wall prototypes that the Trump administration has been testing? Ryan's deal with the Left requires that border barrier construction only incorporate designs that were approved before 2016.
So when you hear RINOs talking about approving 1.32B or 1.6B for border security, unless this provision is repealed, none of this can go towards the border wall.
Over the past two weeks, we have seen just how porous the border is, even in the areas that are supposed to be hardened. A thousand caravan migrants were able to rip down sheet metal panels and rush through the border fence. Last week, we saw caravan migrants walk to the edge of the reinforced border fence and simply hop over the shorter, unprotected barrier. We have seen young children and even full-term pregnant woman successfully climb over the fence.
Now, we're bracing for another border surge. This week, the 9th Circuit Court ruled that Trump must accept asylum claims from illegal aliens, no matter how they entered the country. Immediately after the ruling, we saw the caravan disburse. Since they were no longer required to enter the port of entry, the migrants began spreading out to find the best way to cross the border illegally.
Right now, Border Patrol agents are rushing to deploy to an unfenced region of the border in Arizona as thousands of migrants prepare to rush across. Our laws are so weak that if they even step one toe onto US soil, they are entitled to stay in the country. It is not a surprise that these illegal aliens are deciding to rush here...
President Trump just condemned Congressional Democrats for blocking the border wall project.
"Arizona, together with our Military and Border Patrol, is bracing for a massive surge at a non-walled area. We will not let them through. Big danged. Nancy and Chuck must approve Border Security and the Wall!"
But the problem isn't solely with the Democrats. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) have both introduced bills to fully fund the 25B for the border wall. McCarthy is the House Majority Leader, the number two in the House of Representatives, and he is still having trouble getting a floor vote for his bill.
The GOP leadership knows that they just need to stall for another 13 days. If they can stop the border wall from being funded or even just maintain the status quo, they can hand over control of the House to Pelosi and ensure that the wall never gets built.
It has never been more important than it is right now to fight back!
We have never been so close to defeat.
Migrants are pouring across the border, Border Patrol forces are being overwhelmed, the dilapidated border fence is literally being torn down by illegal alien stampedes, and now migrants are planning for a massive rush across the open border region.
This is a race against the clock. GOPers are trying desperately to stall. They started the Trump Presidency promising to block the wall. That's the only promise Congressional leadership actually wants to keep.
Democrats are licking their lips. In just a few weeks, they will take control of the House of Representatives and gain the power to permanently block the border wall project. Nancy Pelosi just promised yesterday that once she gets the gavel, she will never allow border security funding to reach Pres. Trump's desk.
It is now or never. President Trump is going to war over the border funding, but he needs YOU to hold Congress' feet to the fire and force them to pass the border wall funding before it's too late!
