President Trump said he was disgusted by the immigration "deal" that Republicans and Democrats came up with. Republicans caved and accepted just 1.375 billion for border fence construction, enough to erect just 55 miles of new fencing. That's down from the 1.6 billion that was approved just a couple of months ago.

In exchange for this pittance, Republicans agreed to gut ICE's detention budget, reducing the number of detention beds by almost 9,000. If this bill goes through, Border Patrol and ICE will have to release at least 7,500 currently-detained illegal alien criminals onto our streets. Even worse, any additional illegal aliens caught would have to be released as well.

So not only did Republicans secure next-to-nothing, but they agreed to stop ICE from arresting and detaining thousands of illegal aliens caught crossing the border...

Yesterday, Mexican drug kingpin Joaguin "El Chapo" Guzman was found guilty on all counts and will spend the rest of his life in a super max prison. US prosecutors are now trying to seize El Chapo's 14 billion in assets.

Senator Ted Cruz seized on this news and reintroduced his Ensuring Lawful Collection of Hidden Assets to Provide Order (EL CHAPO) Act. The bill (S.25) has an incredibly simple premise:

"To reserve any amounts forfeited to the United States Government as a result of the criminal prosecution of Joaquin Archivaldo Guzman Loera (commonly known as ‘‘El Chapo’’), or of other felony convictions involving the transportation of controlled substances into the United States, for security measures along the Southern border, including the completion of a border wall."

Basically, the bill would allocate all 14 billion of El Chapo's assets to border wall construction, as well as any future drug money that is seized at the border.

This is common sense. Not only would it fund the entire border wall, but it would kill the Pelosi-McConnell compromise bill that is trying to block the full wall from going up.

Ted Cruz is pushing for a vote, but he needs your help to make it happen!

Don't let the GOP pull the plug on the border wall project! Send your instant FaxBlast to Congress right now and DEMAND they pass Ted Cruz's El Chapo Act and fully fund the border wall project!

This is how we build the wall and this is how we make Mexico pay for it.

"There's a justice to that," Senator Cruz said. "These drug cartels are the ones crossing the border with impunity -- smuggling drugs, smuggling narcotics, engaged in human trafficking. They're the ones violating our laws and it's only fitting that their ill-gotten gains fund securing the border."

Like so many of Ted Cruz's bills, this is so common sense, it is astonishing that it is being blocked. But even today, Cruz's El Chapo Act has zero co-sponsors. It's been filed for almost a month and not a single Republican or Democrat has signed onto it. That is because they are being ordered not to...

The GOP leadership would rather block border wall construction and limit the project to just a few dozen miles. The last thing they want to do is pass Cruz's bill and fund all of it...

They hate President Trump's border security agenda that they are actually agreeing to release illegal aliens from detention. It is disgusting.

Senator Cruz is done waiting for the GOP to fulfill their promises. He is rising this week to force a vote on the El Chapo Act and fund the entire border wall project with one bill. But he needs your help to hold Congress' feet to the fire!

Don't let the GOP pull the plug on the border wall project! Send your instant FaxBlast to Congress right now and DEMAND they pass Ted Cruz's El Chapo Act and fully fund the border wall project!

Don't let the open border GOPers win!
