What do they use this funding for? They use it to attack the United States.
The latest attack comes against Trump for attacking... CNN and other Fake News outlets.
Two UN officials have now declared the Trump administration is violating international law by calling CNN fake news and encouraging his supporters to do the same.
"These attacks run counter to the country's obligations to respect press freedom and international human rights law," the UN's statement read.
Just let this sink in. Instead of focusing on actual human rights violations around the world, the United Nations is using your taxdol lars to defend CNN from well-deserved ridicule. They are even examining ways to take this issue to court. Why? Because the UN actually equates this ridicule with threatening real violence.
The United Nations has put Venezuela, China, and Saudi Arabia -- some of the world's worst human rights abusers -- on its Human Rights Council. But now, they're going after Trump for calling CNN and other liberal news outlets "Fake News."

Ever since Donald Trump won the Presidency, we have seen the United Nations shift radically to the left. During Obama's eight years, the UN was basically just an extension of his administration. Anything Obama couldn't get through Congress -- gun control, environmental regulations, the Iran nuclear deal -- he just pushed through the United Nations.
When Trump took office, that collusion stopped. Not only that, but the Trump administration began slashing the liberal UN programs that Obama had decided to bankroll. Trump cut funding to the UN Arms Trade Treaty, withdrew from the Paris Climate Treaty, and withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal.
What we've seen from the UN is simply shameful. They have dedicated themselves to attacking the United States at every turn.
The real question is, why do we continue to prop up this anti-American organization?
Conservatives in Congress agree. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) is the Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and this is one of his most favorite times of the year: Congress' appropriations season. The government's fiscal year ends on September 30, which is the deadline for Congress to pass next year's spending bills. While the budget that Congress passed months ago approves the total amount of government funding, these appropriations bills decide what this funding can and can't be used for.
We all know that the border wall will be the biggest appropriations fight this year. But Conservatives believe they can multi-task. The Freedom Caucus is coming out hard against the UN and they have introduced a strong bill to pull ALL of the United Nations funding!
The bill was introduced as HR193, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act. But instead of pushing this through as a standalone piece of legislation, Conservatives now want to attach it to the State Department's appropriations bill as an amendment.
This amendment would cutoff all American funding to the United Nations (with one key exception). Here is what the amendment says.
"No funds are authorized to be appropriated or otherwise made available for assessed or voluntary contributions of the United States to the United Nations or to any organ, specialized agency, commission or other formally affiliated body of the United Nations, except that funds may be appropriated to facilitate termination of United States membership and withdrawal of United States personnel and equipment."
Think about that. The only taxdollars that would be given to the UN would be to facilitate America's withdrawal. This is amazing.

The United States gives away 3+ billion to the United Nations every year. Imagine what we could do with that instead of propping up this radical anti-American organization?
Defunding the United Nations used to be considered a radical proposal. But today, it is bipartisan. Just weeks before Trump took office, even Chuck Schumer admitted that the UN had gone too far and likely needed to be defunded.
We've never been closer to pulling the plug on the United Nations once and for all.
But there is no prize for coming in second place. There is no celebration for almost defunding the UN.
This fight is happening right now. The globalists in Congress are desperately trying to approve all of the UN's funding. If they succeed, then we will have to wait another year to shut them down.
