Republicans are defying Pres. Trump and working with Democrats on a gun control "compromise" that would give the Left everything they need to confiscate Americans' guns!

For the first time ever, Democrats are actually being honest about their gun control dreams. For years, the Left has repeated the claim that 'no one wants to take your guns.' But in the 2020 Democratic field, every candidate supports some form of gun ban and confiscation program.

Beto O'Rourke is the most honest of them all. As his campaign implodes, he is starting to admit the real aim of the Left's gun control agenda.

Anderson Cooper asked him point blank, "how are you going to take away weapons from people who do not want to give them up and you don't know where they are?"

Beto gave a pretty cryptic answer, saying that if someone does not turn in their semi-automatic weapon... then that weapon will be taken from them. If they persist, there will be other consequences from law enforcement."

The next morning, O'Rourke appeared on MSNBC and was asked to explain what he meant by 'consequences from law enforcement.'

"There would be a visit by law enforcement to recover that firearm, and to make sure that it is purchased / bought-back, so that it cannot be used against someone else."

This is the Democrats' ultimate goal: nationwide door-to-door confiscation. The only thing holding them back, as Anderson Cooper suggested, is that they don't know which homes to raid. There is no gun owner registry for them to reference.

Without a registry, their gun control end game is impossible.

So why on earth are Republicans whipping up votes to give them to power to create a registry???

President Trump told Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats this week that they can either investigate or legislate. The President will not sign any Democrat bills as long as they continue with their impeachment probe.

Republicans, however, are saying 'not so fast.' The GOP establishment believes that they need to pass some form of gun control in order to hold onto their power. Their political consultants have all told them that if they go into the 2020 election without 'doing something' on guns, they will lose.

So, over the past few months, Lindsey Graham and the Republicans have tried to figure out a gun control bill they can pass to show Democrats and Independents they are "doing something" without angering their conservative base. They now believe they have come up with that compromise plan.

They are calling it a 'universal background check' bill and their proposal just leaked. Under the GOP's plan, all gun sales and transfers would require a background check. Right now, the background check system is limited to just guns bought from licensed dealers. This was an important compromise that the GOP secured back in 1994 to make sure that the Federal government could not create a gun owner registry.

If the government performs a background check on all gun sales and transfers, then they would get a record every time a firearm changes hands. Not only would they know which gun was traded, but they would learn the identity of two gun owners in the process (the buyer and the seller).

The GOP's proposal would actually require a written record of all private gun transfers as well. If you sell a gun to someone, you would have to produce a record of the sale and then keep it safe for at least 20 years. If the ATF ever wants to see it, you would have to hand it over to them right away.

This gun control 'compromise' would require that all gun transfers in this country have a written record and allow the government to seize those records at any time. It is literally authorizing the creation of a gun and gun owner database...

I have said it before but I will say it again: world history shows that firearm registration always leads to confiscation. Every. Single. Time. That is because in order to confiscate firearms -- to launch the door-to-door raids like Democrats want -- the government needs to know who has the firearms.

This GOP 'compromise' bill would give the Left exactly that...

If this bill passes, and the government gains the power to create a database of who owns which guns, it is only a matter of time before that registry is used to launch confiscation raids.

Democrats are literally telling us that is what they want to do. And the Republicans are so eager to appear moderate that they want to give the Left the final piece to their gun confiscation plan...
