Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court confirmation hearing was supposed to start this morning at 9:30 Eastern. Democrats, however, hijacked more than an hour and a half and began filing frivolous motions demanding that the hearing be delayed.
The Left's plan to stop Kavanaugh's confirmation is simple: Demand millions of pages of records and, whether they get released or not, demand a delay to the confirmation process.
That is straight from the Left's playbook. They have been demanding more documents for weeks. Yesterday, Kavanaugh agreed to release more than forty thousand additional documents.
The Left should have said thank you. Instead, they started kicking and screaming demanding "more time" to review the files.
When they don't get the documents they ask for, they demand a delay.
When they do get the documents they asked for, they also demand a delay.
That is their only goal: delay the confirmation process as long as possible in the hopes of taking back Congress or stopping Brett Kavanaugh from being able to hear the Supreme Court's next session of cases.
The Left only needs to flip one Senator in order to win. Just one.
Democrats are more confident than ever. They know that with John McCain's passing, they can block Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation simply by flipping a single Republican Senator.
That is why they are going all-in on this. They're not trying to convince the GOP leadership to stop this. They're trying to pick off the low-hanging fruit.
They are Senators Jeff Flake (AZ), Susan Collins (ME), and Lisa Murkowski (AK). Flipping just one of these seats would halt Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation in its tracks.
The Left is not even trying to convince these RINOs to vote "no." They're trying to convince them to simply delay the process and get more time to dig through Kavanaugh's past. They pulled this a few months ago with one of Trump's 9th Circuit nominees, Ryan Bounds.
We all know how liberal the 9th Circuit is. Trump nominated a Conservative with the hope of flipping it and Liberals went crazy. They dug through Bounds' records and were able to find a couple of his College newspaper articles. One of them criticized the Left's dedication to "victimhood," convincing minority groups that they are "victims" and should vote Democrat.
Democrats raised the alarm and demanded that Republicans halt the confirmation process. It worked. They convinced Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) to jump ship and withdraw his vote. His withdrawal alone was enough to doom the nomination and the White House was forced to pull Bounds entirely.
The Left knows how to win this. Already, we are hearing word from Capitol Hill that the RINOs are starting to cave and agree to delay the process.
There are Republicans who would rather leave the seat vacant than rush this through, even if it means surrendering on a bunch of Supreme Court cases in the mean time.
These turncoats must be shamed. They must be made to realize the price they will pay if they go down this path!
With John McCain's seat vacant, there is an even 50-50 split in the Senate. In order to confirm Kavanaugh, we need every single Republican to vote yes and then for Vice President Mike Pence to come in and break the tie.
Jeff Flake has already promised to resist President Trump's judicial nominees. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski are refusing to confirm or deny whether or not they will support Kavanaugh's nomination.
The Left is winning right now and if we do not fight back, they will do immeasurable damage to not only the conservative movement, but to the country as a whole.
The Supreme Court is set to hear more than a dozen cases in the first two weeks of its Fall Term. That doesn't include all of the lower cases that they will debate in Conference and decide whether to hear them. Without Kavanaugh on the bench, liberal lower-court cases will stand and important pro-life and pro-gun appeals will be declined.
We cannot afford for this process to be delayed even a week.

The fact that we are even having this conversation is pathetic. The fact that we even have to worry about Republicans jumping ship is pathetic.
But that is the reality. That is what we are up against.
If we are going to stop this, we need to strike back right now!
